5.0 out of 5 stars FINALLY a running magazine that focus' on women
Most runner's magazines are geared towards HIGHLY competative people (male & female). This is the first time that I have seen something that actually focuses exclusively on women - and doesn't make you think your personal running goals are less than significant because your not running an 8-minute mile. But offers great advice on how to get to that 8-minute mile, 5k,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good idea, in theory
Like many active women out there, I was excited to discover a magazine dedicated to women runners. I read the first few issues eagerly...but then started to notice that the information presented isn't that much different from what you'd find in other running magazines. The only real difference is that this magazine spends less space talking about running and more space talking about beauty & fashion. I'm sorry, but I didn't buy this magazine to learn how to treat ingrown hairs or do an at-home-day-spa. I wanted to read about running and runners like me. If that's you, too, save your money and time!

But offers great advice on how to get to that 8-minute mile, 5k, 10k, 15k, 1/2 marathon or full marathon. The clothing and accessories recommended/reviewed are made for women - another fantastic feature. I can't say enough about what a great magazine this is for a beginner, advanced, or intermediate runner.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredibly Inspiring!!, April 19, 2011
I finally decided to subscribe to Women's Running after reading a couple issues at B&N, and I'm so glad I did! I LOVE IT! The best part of this magazine is the inspirational stories and profiles. There are always profiles of women who I can relate to as a beginning runner, and reading their stories really helps me to get moving every day. I love the training advice for newbie runners like me. In the last issue that had an article on how to train for a marathon in three days a week. Perfect.

2.0 out of 5 stars Where's my old HerSports?!, January 11, 2011

I subscribed to HerSports for a year and had to discontinue after the first year because of unemployment. After beefing up my economic health I eagerly searched for my HerSports magazine, bent on signing up and enjoying more of my favorite, highly motivating, down-to-earth articles on snowboarding, hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, running, biking, surfing and triathlon goodness. SO DISAPPOINTED. It's now "Women's Running" and there's no magazine for me anymore! Where do real women go when they don't want all the filler articles on diets, spas, sex and fashion? I want more than running! If HerSports ever comes back (please! please! please!) I will subscribe for the rest of my life, rather than see it go. Here's hoping...

2.0 out of 5 stars Sad to see Her Sports go., November 28, 2008
This review is from: Women's Running (20-month) (Magazine)
I initially commented when this magazine was being changed from "Her Sports" to "Women's Running," but amazon still had it listed as "Her Sports." Obviously that change did happen, so this review will be of no assistance to those of you looking for reviews of the new magazine, but for others who have found a Her Sports magazine and want to subscribe, this was it. I wanted a magazine about women not only running, but climbing, snowboarding, hiking and biking, too. Sad to see the change.

I really enjoy this magazine! I got a subscription for myself and as a gift. The magazine covers a wide variety of topics.

1.0 out of 5 stars Her Sports transitioning into Women's Running... yuck, February 11, 2009

Good thing I read the reviews... I have no desire whatsoever to purchase a Women's Running magazine (no high-impact for me!). I wonder why they believe more women would purchase the magazine that way? Shouldn't running be included in a well-rounded fitness magazine instead? Too bad.
