I wanted to counter the only other review of these b/c it was terrible! I bought 2 pair of these a year ago & they are still like new. I exercise a lot & take ballet class. I do have hips, not a ballerina body, size 6, 5'8" and they were NOT too long or big anywhere. They are longer than in the picture tho. They give good coverage - not tiny dance shorts. I can see how they may be too long for a shorter person who would need a larger size. They are about mid-thigh on me, but I just fold them up once in the leg & down once in the waist. Am ordering more again.

These shorts were awful! I got them for my 21 year old dauther who goes to Juilliard. She is of normal height and stature (5'5" size 5). They came down to her knees and looked terrible. Worse than that they will not let me return this useless item.
