What an amazing collection of prayers by and for the voice of women! A variety of topics, rich imagery, and amazing ways to connect with God in language that speaks from women's perspectives qualify for this book a prominent place on any woman's nightstand and/or bookshelf. I laugh at some thoughts, and cry at the astonishing way others are able to say what fails my voice. If you are a male, this book presents a rare opportunity to gain a peek into the hearts of women and their prayers to God. Advent and Christmas are approaching - stock up and give as gifts that will bring faith, renewal, and celebration for many years to come. My thanks to the compilers and the contributors of this terrific resource! You are a blessing to women everywhere.

This book was recommended to me by a colleague and I'm enjoying unfolding its riches if not every day, at least every week. It has fun in it: "O Lord,/ if I did as much for my soul/ as I do for my face/ on a daily basis/I'd look better for eternity.--Ms. Lynne Atherton" and profound: "'Careful of the mud, ma'am.'/Not to worry, she thinks. 'Thank you. I'm wearing my cemetery shoes...'/How many babies have I buried in my cemetery shoes? How many people even have cemetery shoes..." by The Reverend Mary Anne Akin. It's a book that speaks to women's experience of God and of ministry. I look forward to discovering more profound and more fun as the days go by.

This book was just the best resource that I could have found for prayers of intercession. It was like a gift from God for me, as it was recommended by our Chaplain, and I found it a valuable source of beautiful prayers that I could parse out to read to the congregation. I highly recommend it to anyone who has the honor of writing prayers of intercession. It blessed me, thoroughly!

There are prayers for all occasions. Women from all walks of life can find a prayer for the problem or blessing they are encountering.

this is a fabulous resource for all those who are looking to enhance their worship experiences with prayers from a group of people that are usually not utilized in traditional worship- women!

An amazingly comprehensive collection of prayers written by and for women, organized for quick and easy reference when searching for any specific situation or topic from barrenness to Holy Week to anniversary celebrations. Excellent as a ministry tool and/or for personal devotions. Writers and writing styles are diverse, but all with feminine perspective. Although written by Episcopalian women, quite appropriate for all women of Christian faith.

The prayer book has meaningful prayers for women of all ages and all walks of life. There is a prayer for almost anything most women encounter in their lives. Great resource!

This book was recommended to me from a Church member who has been visiting me and my daughter during a very rough time in our lives. Since it is a book written by women for women I decided to purchase one for us. Although we don't read it daily, we have found it has some wonderful passages for anyone who needs a little extra support during difficult times.

I was looking for a gift and found this "gift" for my heart. Simply open this charming collection of prayers to any page and find a message one needs to hear.

This is a wonderful book for - anyone, not jut women. The seller was excellent and the book arrived in a timely manner. There is prayer literally for every occasion. Many of the Women in my study group refer to it regularly. It is a very "Episcopal" based book. Worht owning.
