Amazon.com Product Description

Under Armour's most technical running shoe, the women's Revenant II is engineered for runners with low, flexible arches and moderate overpronation. The shoe is made using Under Armour's Directional Cushioning Engineering (DCE) system, an integrated technology that blends several comfort and stabilization technologies into a single design. DCE starts with ArmourLastic technology, which absorbs shock at critical impact zones in the heel and forefoot to provide maximum protection. The shoe's ArmourBound design, meanwhile, keeps your foot cushioned and comfortable while on the move. DCE completes the circle with its ArmourGuide technology, which encourages efficient foot-strike guidance from impact to propulsion. Combined, the technologies keep the foot in constant contact throughout the gait cycle, creating more stability and mid-foot support.

Structure-wise, the shoes employ Cartilage Smooth Transition technology, the connective tissue of Under Armour's performance footwear. Cartilage Smooth Transition materials have elastic, protective, and stabilizing properties that replicate the function of cartilage in the human body. This helps the shoe absorb the initial impact and reduce the shearing forces present when running. The shoe's structure also includes a ventilated internal Footsleeve, which is engineered to hug the foot and eliminate sliding and extra bulk. Other details include strategic venting, which is built into the shoe at key points where the body dumps heat, and a softer, sleeker upper than found on earlier-generation UA Run footwear. Recommended for running, the shoe weighs 10.5 ounces.

About Under Armour
It started with a simple plan: Make a superior T-shirt, a shirt that provided compression and wicked perspiration off your skin rather than absorbing it, and that worked with your body to regulate temperature and enhance performance. The plan evolved into a full-fledged commitment to producing performance apparel engineered to keep athletes cool, dry, and light throughout the course of a game, practice, or workout.

Founded in 1996 by former University of Maryland football player Kevin Plank, Under Armour offers a diverse product assortment of performance gear for men, women, and youth, with an intuitive product framework that's easy to understand: wear HeatGear items when it's hot, ColdGear when it's cold, and AllSeasonGear between the extremes. Under Armour's mission is to provide the world with technically advanced products engineered with the company's superior fabric construction, exclusive moisture management, and proven innovation. Every Under Armour product has a specific purpose--to make you better.
