I first read and owned this book in the early 1980's. I loved it and, as a young professional woman struggling to balance relationships and work, I really related to it. I had a paperback and it became very worn because I re-read it so many times over the years. When I remarried in 1991, I threw the book away with the definite intention of repurchasing it. Unfortunately, I could never find it in a bookstore and only found one (very dilapidated) used copy that I did not purchase in a used book store once in the early 1990s.Fast forward to now. After 20 years of randomly looking for it in bookstores and various web sites, I recently found it on Amazon.com advertised as "brand spankin' new", so I ordered it. I have already re-read it and felt like I was back with long lost friends! This author is elderly now and wrote very few books in her lifetime.I SO glad that I was able to secure another copy! I hope she reads thisso she will know how much her work affected me.

I read this while in college and loved it. Great introduction to the working world of advertising (it's all true!). Nothing deep, but certainly entertaining. The literary equivalent of a great chic-flick.
