I have all of Annie's solo works - This one needs at least one review here! - It's definitely as good as her others - such heartfelt worship in her unique style - really able to touch one who seeks sweet worship of their Savior.

I have six of Annie Herring's CD's and am extremely happy with each of them. Before I talk about this one let me give you the history of how my husband and I found her music.

My husband was in the Navy and spent time in California in the early seventies. This was during the time of the "Jesus Movement." He became familiar with the music of "Love Song" and "Second Chapter of Acts." When he moved back to his home in Arkansas he eventually lost his cassettes and connection with the groups.

Earlier this year (2010) he came across the musical documentary, First Love: A HIstoric Gathering of Jesus Music Pioneers, that told the story of these groups and others. This powerful documentary featured Annie Herring not only as a member of "Second Chapter of Acts" but as a vocalist in her on right. Her Christian testimony and character set us on a search for her music. And finding it, we have been blessed.

"Wonder" is our favorite with "Glimpses" a close second. I don't have all of her music yet but I don't expect to find anything I don't like.

This later music of hers is a big step up from the early days of "Second Chapter of Acts." Most of it is not as "rocky" and is quality in every aspect. The lyrics are worshipful and Christ-centered. The music is unique and has great piano and strings. It came to my mind the other day that the percussion is so good too. Happily, there are no screaming electric guitars.

This is the first review I have ever written. I did it because I can't believe that Annie's music is so "undiscovered." It is my opinion that this is by far the best contemporary Christian music that exist. It appears that most of these CD's, if not all, are no longer being produced. I bought all mine used from various sellers on Amazon.
