I was a little reluctant to spend $22 for something that I feared would be destroyed in a day or two. Not to worry. This is very well made. It's a double thickness of what appears to be good quality fabric. The seams are all hidden. The color is bright and the logo on the back is three layers of heavy felt. A very nice-looking cape. Truly adorable.

The cape arrived ahead of schedule and I wrapped it up for my 2.5-year-old granddaughter. When she opened it, her eyes got wide and she started squealing, "It's Ming Ming! It's Ming Ming for me!" I was thinking $22 well spent. ;-)

She put it on and went flying around the house. The cape hangs beautifully and is just the right length for her. She's tall for her age.

After about 10 minutes, she started pulling at the strap that goes around her neck. I saw that the weight of the cape had pulled it back and up against her neck. The narrow strips had become twisted and part of the Velcro was exposed and was rubbing against her neck. I tried to adjust it and fasten it more securely, but it kept getting pulled back and rubbing against her neck. After awhile, she stopped wearing it. She loves the cape and would carry it around, but did not want to wear it. Now it hangs on a hook and she talked about it, but she doesn't wear it. Too bad.

I know that she is more sensitive to things like that than most kids, but I still think the neck strap is not well designed. It seems to need something stiff inside the fabric to keep it flat or a wider strap or maybe just a weight to counter-balance the weight of the cape. Not knowing much of anything about sewing or fabric, I'm at a loss to fix it. If it weren't for that, I would rate it 6 stars. But for my granddaughter, it's only 3.

I got the green one, which is the color that Ming Ming actually wears. I'm not sure why they make it in red and blue.

I bought the pack of 3 Wonder Pets capes and, first of all, was amazed at how quickly I received them. They are very well made of sturdy material. I'd buy again from this vendor in a minute. Quality product.
