5.0 out of 5 stars Linda Carter IS Wonder Woman, December 16, 2007

(REAL NAME)
At about the same time that Christopher Reeve was flying high as Superman on the big screen, Linda Carter was deflecting bullets with her bracelets as Wonder Woman on TV. Both Superman and Wonder Woman are DC Comics characters and have been paired in the comics and cartoons many times. My point is that both actors were so great in their superhero parts that for me at least, they became the charcters. Linda Carter was perfect for Wonder Woman because she was beautiful and played the part to a tee, as Christopher Reeve did with Superman. It is too bad that they were not paired up as their superhero charcters in a movie. It would have been a great combination.

3.0 out of 5 stars I saw this as a kid in 1976 and also as an adult in the 90's, August 14, 2006

This review is from: Wonder Woman (DVD)
It from the era when Wonder Woman gave up her powers and lived as a mortal. The production values are very low(this being 1970's television),but the story is engaging and the plotting well done for the era.
Wonder Woman is presented as in a very 1970's way that unlike early Lynda Carter episodes does not hit you over the head constantly with feminist platitudes but instead portrays women as compassionate yet capable.Gone here is the classic bustier, replaced with a blue zip-front tunic over red leggings, and a large gold belt with built-in grappling hook (bracelets do something too but cannot remeber what).
Ricardo Montalban is the villan here, another amazon is helping him.
This is far better than 65% of Lynda Carter series(which tended towards insipid pap),but is very different from the Wonder Woman most are familiar with.Keep an open mind and you may enjoy this!
