Solid artwork complements Rucka's engrossing, action-filled story about heroism, ethics, and responsibility. This book is a must-read for all DC fans. However, episodes tie in directly with larger events taking place simultaneously in the DC Universe. Many convoluted, ancillary plot developments are fully expounded in two related collections, Superman: Sacrifice (2006) and The OMAC Project (2005, both DC Comics).
