Nothing really new about this calendar. It is using old covers, just like all of the other Chronical Books stuff. No Post Crisis stuff sadly, but for the true WW fan like myself, it is a have to have. I've even heard that Chronical Books is planning a 2002 calendar, so maybe if we buy enough of these, the WW weries of stuff will continue.

The monthly pictures are basically reprints of Wonder Woman comics that were produced in the 70's and 80's. Chronicle Books paid DC Comics for the rights to reprint the comic covers in a monthly calendar.

The calendar is nice and simple, which is perfect. The top portion is the image of Wonder Woman and the bottom portion has the month with a white background. The names of the month alternate between bold red and blue (ex: January - red, February - blue, etc.). The days are very simple - not seperated by typical squares, but rather by one long line for each week and a small 1/8 divider between each day. This provides the freedom of writing notes any where without feeling limited to a small square. Also on the bottom of each page is a small Wonder Woman graphic, sometimes a panel from the comic book, sometimes a clip art.

This is a wonderful calendar - fun to look at. It does not appear too juvenile (overwrought with comic images), but as a professional-looking calendar suitable for workplace environments. My hat goes off to Chronicle Books for putting Wonder Woman to different uses such as calendars and notecards (check them out, too!) - I look forward to seeing what they come up with next!

What a fun calendar! Bright colors, beautiful pictures, a real conversation piece if you hang it up at home. For any WW fan, this is a must. The pictures show her as she looked in the 50's, 60's, 70's, etc., all but her present "look." A great nostalgia item.
