4.0 out of 5 stars Unique Sound!!! Definitely Worth a Listen
I can't think of a single female singer today who has a sound like Dilana Smith. She can rock yet she is soulful. Some of the tunes are graphic (parental controls advised), but old and new rockers should definitely give her a try. I think you'll want more!

3.0 out of 5 stars It's definately listenable
I watched Rockstar:Supernova for my Rock-n-Roll Goddess Storm Large (of Storm and the Balls) and was surprised to find that there was another lady worth rooting for. Dilana's fierce delivery of songs on that show (Zombie & Lithium to name a couple) doesn't come across as strong on the CD, but that is not to say that the CD is bad. Dilana's fierce delivery of songs on that show (Zombie & Lithium to name a couple) doesn't come across as strong on the CD, but that is not to say that the CD is bad. It is pop music - Dilana seems to write pop songs - but her delivery is made for rock-n-roll. I'll agree with another reviewer in that she needs to work more with a songwriter, but from a delivery and presentation perspective, she's got the goods. I'm looking forward to the CD that Gilby will produce for her.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love Dilana!!!, March 27, 2007

A girl with a beautiful and talented voice. I still can't believe that Supernova was so stupid to pick Lukas Rossi over Dilana. In my opinion Dilana fit great with Supernova. If they would of picked her, their current album wouldn't suck as it is doing right now. I bought this album knowing that she sings in this. Not dissapointed at all. Can't wait to her new cd comes out.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Own!, January 9, 2007

I have to start by saying that I love Dilana! Been on 3 of her show's here in Iceland and it was breath taking to see how amazing she is.

This CD is one of the best I've ever own. She's so unique and it shows through her music. My favourite song on this album is "Do You Now." A great song, I can litsen to it over and over again.

It's funny to see on the pictures, while you read the lyrics, how much she's changed. Looks like a different person, but I might add that she has always been hot. ;)

If you like Dilana you will love this CD... To put this in one word... WoW!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Dilana, January 9, 2007

Loved her on Super Nova but hated this dvd. Maybe I'm just a prude but, her language is over the top. If I would have seen a rating about the language I probably would not have bought this. Too much screaming for me, too.

Dilana is an absolute star. The material, production and instrumental work on this recording isn't real good but her vocals make it enjoyable. If you are one of the people who loved her on Rock Star then get this, you won't be sorry.

Bought this on the back of Rock Star Supernova because I truly believed Dilana should have walked this, I love this CD, the only disappointment was that she only wrote a couple of tracks as watching the show I feel she has great talent but maybe on the next one we will hear more of Dilanas own songs but a fab album would highly recommend this

5.0 out of 5 stars Newest ROCK talent!, September 27, 2006

If you haven't heard of DILANA yet.....ie Dilana Robichaux or Dilana Smith, check her out on youtube. The CD is fantastic, rocking and touching, and her stage performance is like nothing you can ever imagine unless you've seen it or experienced her live. She wakes the dead and also wakes the living dead. She is the cure for your depression with her bigger than life stage presence. Her voice has been compared with Janis Joplin mixed with Melissa Ethridge, but she plays modern rock and roll which needs a come back. Her newest hit is Supersoul which I believe has been added to this CD. She has played with Tommy Lee of Motley Crue, Gilby Clarke of Guns'n Roses and Heart, and Jason Newstead of Metallica on a recent rockstar talent show in which she was the first runner up only because they wanted a male lead singer really. She is a show all on her own and would have taken over the stage, she is just that good.

4.0 out of 5 stars 7 years and I still listen to it...., March 28, 2007

I bought this cd by Dilana 7 (!) years ago when it was just released here in the Netherlands. In all this time I must have put it on hundreds of times. I loved her voice right from the start, although I can understand some of the reviews here that say this cd is too poppy, and too much of the same thing.

But let me point out -again- that this cd was originally released 7 years ago. It might be more pop than her performances on Rockstar Supernova but this was a long time ago. She's older now, she's had years to learn and improve her voice and writing, years to gather life experience as well, and I'm sure she's absolutely more than ready now to take on America. I can't wait to see what her next album will bring.

As for this cd; after all these years I still listen to it. The Elvis Motor-Inn, Livin' By The Day and Secret Of My Soul are songs that I will probably never get tired of.
If you are looking for hard rock this cd isn't your thing. If you have a broader taste in music, if you don't mind the pop influences; just give it a try, you might just like it ;)

Too sappy and pop-py for my liking. I liked her much better on the RockStar Supernova show.
