I live in an apartment building on a major city street, with a bus stop right outside my window. I couldn't sleep with my windows open because the street noise was so bad. I heard about white noise being able to blocking out noises, so after an extensive search I found this Wonderful Waterfall CD. It has been a real blessing!

It didn't take long for me to figure out how loud I should play the CD on my stereo (it came with instructions). An added benefit to blocking out the street noise is that when I play it low, it creates a nice ambience to just relax.

I highly recommend this CD for anyone who lives or works in a noisy environment.

While it does indeed sound like a waterfall it was too distracting at any volume for me to use as white noise or to provide any kind of distraction.
