The reviewer above obviously didn't even read the book, as it gives (in several places) the website and 800 number of where to order the jig used. Also, the Wig Jig is not a mass production jig, it and the designs in the book are intended for personal use.The book is an excellent start for beginners - It gives specific step by step instructions. The jig is not required for any of the designs, but it does make things easier & quicker.

This book gives tips you may not find anywhere else. The format is easy to read and digest. The number of designs given freely will certainly wake up your creativity. If you have not purchased a book on jewelry making or wire working this is the place to start. You can sit down and make some professional quality items immediately. If you are accomplished this will add to your repertoire with new designs and building of new skills with the Olympus. I am most impressed!!!

If you just bought wire-bending equipment and need help, buy this book. It's perfect for the novice-- slide your clear Wig-Jig Olympus over the template, put in the pegs and copy the designs. The book contains interesting and important wire-bending start-up information, too. More advanced? Lots of information and projects for you, too. The book is divided into sections by project (ornaments, pendants, links and clasps)with easy and challenging projects in each section. The book is wirebound, so you can fold it flat open. One pattern per page keeps you focused, not flipping pages. Some of the pages are busy with information, and require some patience to understand. One important page not to miss: the one that says patterns are all under current copyright, and are for personal use only.

This is a very good book for the novice to advanced wire jewelry artist. Using the Olympus Wigjig is very easy. You just place your wigjig over the template in the book, add the pegs and wrap wire in the directions of the arrows. Success is had by all with this solderless process! Makes great wire ornaments. You will truly love it for making jewelry to wear and give.

An interesting little workbook, designed to be used with something called the Olympus WigJig, a transparent wire bending jig. If, like me, you have never heard of this device, the book gives no information on how to obtain or make the jig. Fortunately, the designs can be made without the jig. The designs, while interesting, are copyrighted. Why does the author give us copyrighted designs for a mass-production jig? The book is strictly for beginners who are interested in simple wire bending without using soldering or any advanced techniques.

The book has lots of good design. Unfortunately, as an adult, I do not think I would wear the work instructed in the book.
