People yet to discover the amazing voice of Eva Cassidy will want this album, perhaps after purchasing the first compilation "Songbird". However, I do believe this is a better compilation because it contains more of my personal favourites. One listen of her rendition of Simon and Garfunkel's "Kathy's SOng" will turn you into an Eva Cassidy fan. "Waly, Waly" is simply beautiful, with a haunting touch. Most fans will own all of the other albums, so buying this will be unnecessary as it contains all previously released material.

I would recommend purchasing "Live at Blues Alley" for those just new to Eva Cassidy.

This is a great companion CD to 'Songbird'. If you can only purchase a limited number of Eva Cassidy recordings you can't go wrong with this selection of songs. (Of course every song she sings is great!!) If you already own the entire collection this one is still a nice addition to keep in your car or with your portable CD player. If you've never heard Eva Cassidy you're in for a rare treat when you listen to an Eva Cassidy song for the first time. You will be hooked!

even if you own all of eva s previous albums- you will still enjoy this nice collection. good informative linear notes about the history of each song and where it was recorded. the re-recording of WONDERFUL WORLD and WALY WALY with the orginal band members never sounded better. enjoy!

This album contains selections from every style of music and Eva masters all of them. Her voice is the most amazing instrument...at times powerful, at times soft and sweet. I am saddened to think that our world has lost someone so talented so prematurely. I listen to her CD's over and over and never get tired of them. I am in awe.

I purchased every last one of Eva's CD's after hearing her sing "Imagine" just less than a year ago... Any other artist who even tries to sing a song that Eva already recorded sounds like a cheap imitation of what was already perfected by Eva. Eva has it all! You cannot go wrong by purchasing ANY recordings of Eva Cassidy, who has the ability to move you to levels you never thought possible with the sound of her magical voice. WOW!

If you are an Eva Cassidy fan, don't buy this CD, there is nothing new here. Pony up and get the CDs these tracks came from, you will be rewarded with so much more than is on this disc. If you are not onto Eva yet, this is not a bad place to start, but its fast food. The original CDs are a banquet.

Eva Cassidy may be the best the world has ever known for the type of singing she did. "What a wonderful world" and "Over the rainbow" are two songs that I could listen to her sing everyday and never get tired of them or her. She is not your average everyday girl with a guitar. This CD will not dissappoint anyone who loves a great singer. Eva Cassidy has mastered several genres of music--the ballad, folk, country, gospel and rythym and blues. She has a voice with a range comparable to Mariah Carey. But best of all--she knows how to SING a song--not just hit the notes.

This CD is a sort of "best of" compilation, a companion to the CD "Songbird" and of equal quality.

Even though Eva Cassidy died in 1996 the music she left behind is a living presence. This is simply the most fascinating singer of my generation--tallent, emotion, depth--it is all there.

This woman was struck down before she even had an opportunity to let the people hear her goodness.

Probably the best singer you have never heard of!
