Deluxe two disc (CD + PAL/Region 2 DVD) edition including a bonus DVD. 2010 release from the British rockers fronted by controversial vocalist Skin. Highlights are opener "God Loves Only You", which sets the precedent for a luscious tuneful weight but at the same time is made delicate by Skin's noticeably more breath-y and deeper vocal stylings. Other favorites include mid-tempo Pop Rock confection "The Sweetest Thing", the dark and sensual "My Love Will Fall" and hook-healthy puncher "Feeling The Itch". But the most important thing to understand about this album as a whole is that it is a recorded representation of a band changing and yet somehow still retaining the relevance it once had, ultimately sweeping them into the world of contemporary Rock of all kinds.

UK group Skunk Anansie make straight ahead brash but catchy Rock music and "Wanderlustre", their fourth, is no different.

"God loves only you" finds vocalist Skin alternating from feathery light to fiery following the song intensity. "My ugly boy" is a driving rocker and there's more where that came from; "Over the love", "It doesn't matter" (with a frenetic chorus), the Ska-tinged "You're too expensive", and "Feeling the itch".

The groovy "The sweatest thing" reminds me of The Verve with its martial beats, while the pulsing midtempo "My love will fall" has shades of U2 (and finds Skin singing "I curse my love for you" - brilliant song) as does "You can't always do what you like".

Slowing things down are the creepy "Talk too much", the acoustic "You saved me", and "I will stay but you should leave".

Nice to have Skin (complete with her screech) and the lads back.

This is un-categorical strange music. Compelling at times and not boring or same-y but yet yields aspects that you've likely heard before if you are into this type of stuff. I like the melodies moreso than the vocals.
