4.0 out of 5 stars Our daughter loves it!!
We just bought this for our 11-month old daughter and absolutely loves it. We have another wooden walker with the ducks that clack when pushed, but she never seemed to take to it and also would constantly fall with it (she once banged and cut her chin on it) because it moved too quickly. The fact that you can change and control the speed with this push toy is fantastic...

This is definitely a sturdy and fairly safe walker for young babies. However, after getting the walker due to the other good reviews, I have found there are quite a few issues with this that was not mentioned by the other reviewer.

I ordered the product a month ago. The first walker I received was defective. The bottom wood panel was warped and the drill hole for the side panels weren't lined up. Thus trying to put together the walker was impossible and resulted in an uneven wheel plane. Amazon.com had wonderful customer service and after calling, they sent me a new walker right away.

I was very excited once the new one arrived. I assembled it right away and had my baby (10 Months) try it out. Here is a summary after trying it out:

Pros:
1. Very cute and sturdy
2. Fairly heavy so it's not possible for my baby to tip it over
3. You can adjust the tension on the back wheel (which was the main reason I chose this walker)

Cons:
1. Very difficult to put together, you need LOTS of muscle to drill the nail into the wood panels. But overall assembly instruction is fairly straigh forward.
2. The walker only goes in straight lines and it's almost impossible to make turn with it due to its weight
3. This is the worst part: the rubber rim on the wheels just keep on coming off!! I was surprised no other reviewer mentioned this?!?! The rubber rim is very thin and the groove it sits in on the wheel is very shallow. Anytime you are going between carpet and wood floor, or the kid tilts the walker a bit, one of the four rubber rims always comes off. I have to constantly put it back (I found my baby chewing on them one time!).

For such an expensive walker (in comparison to all the other walkers out there), I did have high expectations. So due to the last reason, I have decided to return the product. I think if the company can design a wider rubber rim for the wheels or one that's attached on better, this is definitely a great product.

We just bought this for our 11-month old daughter and absolutely loves it. We have another wooden walker with the ducks that clack when pushed, but she never seemed to take to it and also would constantly fall with it (she once banged and cut her chin on it) because it moved too quickly. The fact that you can change and control the speed with this push toy is fantastic and she can easily push it over our hardwood floors as well as the area rugs. She loves putting her stuffed bear in the basket and now we can't get her to stop wanting to push it around the entire house! It is a bit pricey, but well worth it in my opinion given the quality and how much our daughter enjoys it.

AMENDMENT: after a couple of days, the front right wheel started to fall off. For some reason, the push toy kept veering to the right and although we initially thought it was just the way our daughter was pushing it, we soon figured out it was because the wheel was falling off. The wheel then fell completely off and we couldn't get it back on because the threads on the bolt appeared damaged. Returned it to Amazon and they sent a new replacement via 2-day shipping, so I applaud their responsiveness.

3.0 out of 5 stars LOVE it but..., July 30, 2010

I do love this, it never tips over and thats even without anything in the basket. BUT the rubber bands on the wheels falls off all the time and blocks the wheel. It does not drive properly without them and the company has not answered any mails besides the first one I sent, where they asked for more information and pictures, which I sent them. I absolutely love it had it not been for this major problem which could have been solved easily had the company replied to me. They can be glued on I suppose but I do not want to use harsh glue on baby products.
My son who is one year old loves to push it both ways, he loves to sit in the basket and be driven around in it.
One little thing which is not really a problem is that it took a very strong man to assemble it, I could not for the life of me get the screws in even though I am a strong woman.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Wonderworld, December 11, 2009
This review is from: Wonderworld Jolly Walker Push Toy (Baby Product)
I got this for my 9 month old daughter who wants to do nothing but pull up, stand and walk. I chose this product as it has adjustable friction (so she wouldn't go flying across the floor!) It is wonderful. She loves it already (I unpacked it 2 hours ago.) We have put her books in the basket (which adds some weight to it) and she is already pushing the cart around and pulling up and sitting down by holding onto the walker. I have the friction on very high for a while until she gets used to the motion. It seems very sturdy. Just a great toy. I am thrilled with it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy tthis walker - Slowly falls apart, December 6, 2010
This review is from: Wonderworld Jolly Walker Push Toy (Baby Product)
My 12 mo daughter got this as a suggested gift for her 1st bday in July 2010. I liked the idea of the tension "brake" since we have slippery hardwood floors and that it could convert to shopping cart or babydoll carrier after being a push toy. It is so darn cute. However, the rubber ring on the wheels constantly comes off. I've caught my daughter using them as a teether. I emailed the mfr. They responded stating they would take care of it. Since the one impressive email, they have not responded to my numerous attempts to contact them. On Thanksgiving one of the wheels fell off and will not go back on. It is so poorly made. We've had it less than 6 mos., but I think it is too late to return it. I'll try going through Amazon.
Don't let its cute appearence fool you. I would not buy this company's products again.

This cart is so cute it is a shame that it is so poorly made! The wheels fall. The rubber parts of the wheels also constantly fall off. I returned it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great learning to walk push toy!, December 6, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Wonderworld Jolly Walker Push Toy (Baby Product)
We bought our 8 1/2 mo. old granddaughter this "Wonderworld Jolly Walker Push Toy" when she decided she was not going to crawl but wanted to hold on to our fingers or other things and "walk". She would push her stroller whenever possible but could not see where she was going. This walker is just the right size for her and is helping her also with her balance. She loves pushing it around and giving her toys a ride. The removable cloth basket/liner is great for easy spot cleaning or to toss into the washer.

The only thing I would improve on this walker is maybe larger wheels to make it a little easier to push on plush or shag carpets. She loves it anyway and is rarely without it!

1.0 out of 5 stars WAY over-rated, July 27, 2011
This review is from: Wonderworld Jolly Walker Push Toy (Baby Product)
This walker was so expensive and so highly recommended on so many websites. What a disappointment! It's barely been used and it's falling apart. It's poorly made and it's structure is too hard for little ones to move around. I wouldn't waste your money!

3.0 out of 5 stars Great- but has flaws, June 10, 2011
This review is from: Wonderworld Jolly Walker Push Toy (Baby Product)
I love this walker for my baby but it does have some flaws (that you shouldn't have at this price point in my opinion). It was very very very difficult to put together. I actually ended up having to drill the holes a little deeper to get it together. It comes with a hex screwdriver that was a nightmare to use- it took me a really long time and my hands were raw from pushing so hard when I was done. Also, the rubber on the wheels does not stay on at ALL, they immediately come off when you push the cart. I used a little bit of non-toxic craft glue on them and fixed the problem within 10 minutes. It is very sturdy and I think it will be fun just as a cart for her to put things in once she is already walking well.

2.0 out of 5 stars great idea...horrible construction, December 25, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Wonderworld Jolly Walker Push Toy (Baby Product)
I purchased this item for my 12 month daughter. She was just attempting to walk at the time. After doing much research I decided on the Jolly Walker due to its design and ability to add weight and pressure to back wheels preventing the child from tipping over. Well the design is wonderful but the construction is HORRIBLE.
The rubber gaskets that line each wheel constantly fall off loosing all tracking on hard wood floors and sliding out from under the pressure of the child. I have now glued them in place several times in an attempt to prevent future slippage.
Also the hardware used to attach the wheels to the body are of poor quality and under no time bent under duress.
Those too I repaired twice and finally replaced with all new hardware.

In essence, I have rebuilt this walker from the ground up. The only reason is because my daughter loves it so much and now 16 months still enjoys it.
Also there is no customer service to be had or any viable way to contact the seller. The website provides an e-mail address which is non responsive, the phone number is outside the US. This makes returning the item, especially because it was purchased through Amazon, incredibly challenging.

My summary; a wonderful toy, better designed than most due to the thought that went into weight distribution but constructed in the worst manner. It should not bother you if you like to spend time in your workshop (I personally wan not planning on spending time in the workshop) other wise make sure you can purchase from a retailer that can facilitate returns easily and without hassles.
