2.0 out of 5 stars The tests were all duds
I ordered the strips along with ovulation strips. The ovulation strips worked great and helped us get pregnant, but when I missed my period and tested with the pregnancy strips they kept coming out negative, even 4 days beyond my longest luteal phase (testing with 2 strips a day). We finally purchased another brand test and it came out positive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Accurate AND Cheap, April 18, 2009

I wish I had known about these sooner! I have been TTC for a year and have purchased expensive tests at the drug store the entire time. But after suffering a miscarriage and knowing that I would start testing again, I found these! I received them right after my miscarriage and used them to check my beta levels to make sure they were dropping properly. I would rate these tests as extremely sensitive! I took a test after having my blood taken by the doctor and doing a urine test at the doctor's office. My HCG level was around 20 and the urine test at the doctor's office came up negative. But this test came up as a positive! It wasn't until my levels were below 20 did this test read negative! That's amazing. So I will be using them as we try again and will feel confident that they will give me a early result. Great product!
The only trick with these is that they are not mid-stream tests. They are simply little test strips (they are the size of dipsticks that you test your urine with at the doctor's office for various things). So you must pee into a cup (I used the tiny throw-away bathroom sized "Solo" cups) and dip the stick up to a line that is marked on the strip. I saw results within minutes. Each strip is individually wrapped.

These are more sensitive and WAY cheaper than the kind you buy at the store... and at about 1.00 a test why not??? most store brands measure hormones at 50 while these measure 20!! the most sensitive you can get! you can start testing way before your period is due... i belive 10dpo?? maybe even 8?? but dont quote me... if you are a pee on a stick addict these are for you!

These worked great for me - I started testing early (you can waste these as they are so cheap) and the day I finally tested positive I used 5 just to be sure (and double-checked with a more expensive model). Definitely get these.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works but line is fainter and takes longer to appear than on a drugstore test, July 24, 2010

These strips can detect pregnancy before a missed period but potential buyers should be aware that the line takes longer to appear and is much fainter than the line you will get with one of the packaged drugstore brands. In fact, I took this test before my missed period and thought that the results were "inconclusive" because the line was barely visible so my husband went out to get a drugstore test. That test was much more obvious and results appeared much quicker. Even now, about a week plus after my period, the line is still fainter than the control line and takes a couple of minutes to appear. Hopefully that doesn't indicate a problem. Anyway, the bottom line is that if you plan on taking a lot of pregnancy tests, these are a good option just don't expect them to work the same as the other tests you may be used to taking.

UPDATE: It turned out that the pregnancy for which I originally reviewed these strips miscarried at 6.5 weeks :( This is perhaps why the line was so faint and took so long to appear. I used these again when I became pregnant in January 2011 and the line was strong and appeared quickly. Now I am 23 weeks pregnant.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple and Efficient! <3, July 13, 2010

This review is from: Wondfo Pregnancy Test Strips, 25-count (Health and Beauty)
I bought these in the beginning of May because my husband and I were trying to have a second child and I am a compulsive tester, especially since until recently, my husband was in basic training and Airborne training (Army), which made this a little difficult. (I only got to see him for a couple of days in April, May and June) :) A few days ago on the 9th of July, I came home with my daughter from visiting my mother. I don't know what it was, but I decided to go ahead and use one of these tests. (I think I probably had about 6 or 7 left). I was impatient and probably sat there for about a minute and a half before I tossed the test on top of the trash and decided to lay down for a 2 hour nap with my daughter. When we woke up, I had the urge to pee real bad, so I headed to the bathroom. Now, everytime I've taken one of these tests, I always end up checking it again a few hours later because, like I said, I can be compulsive about these things haha and I know they usually say you can't read results 10 minutes after because they're invalid, but I can't help it. So as usual, I picked up the test and gave it a glance and noticed a faint line a bit below the control line. I thought my eyes were playing tricks, so I went ahead and did another test, but this time, I was more patient and sure enough, I got another faint line! I even wasted money buying two digital and two other tests so that I could compare how accurate these tests were. Two pregnancy tests gave me a second line (positive) and both digitals read "pregnant". I'm unsure how far along I am, so I can't say yet how early it detected my pregnancy. I have an upcoming appointment on the 21st to confirm pregnancy and will update my review when I have a better idea.

All in all, I'd say if you don't have to waste money at the drugstore, then don't! These work JUST as well and the price is much better. :) I'd definitely recommend this to women trying to conceive, and especially women who are compulsive testers! I also have added a customer image of one of my positive tests for anyone who may not be exactly sure what to look for. :)

UPDATE: Turns out I was about 4 weeks pregnant when I got my positive results using this test. Good luck to the rest of you Mama hopefuls out there! :)

Ok, so I bought these tests a little too late! I found out I was pregnant BEFORE they arrived. Still, just for confirmation, I used a couple. Although the line was faint, it was definitely there. They're inexpensive and work just fine!

5.0 out of 5 stars Never going to WalMart again! Wow!, January 7, 2010

Simple to use, cheap, and more accurate then most the tests found at walmart.
They are so easy to use, as long as you don't mind the little bit of mess coming with peeing in a cup.
I happen to be trying to conceive, and I bought 50 of these strips for less then [...]. Now, buying 50 tests elsewhere at the LEAST around here, will cost you [...] PLUS tax. So, this is a real good deal! That, and they are more sensitive then the majority of other brands.
Love this product. I recommend this to ANYONE who is wastes money on those ept 3 packs that cost so much. This is the real deal, and I have used 10 so far and haven't had an issue with any of them. I let my friend, whom is prego, pee on one, and it read that she was. And then I took one, and it was negative and I am not prego yet. Then I let my friend who didn't know she was prego pee on it, and it was positive and she went to the doctor the next day, and found out she was only 2 weeks! (The hospital's test didn't even register the hormone, they had to do blood work after she insisted.) So yes. This product is amazing and it works!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but Not AS Good as some Ladies Say, December 17, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Wondfo Pregnancy Test Strips, 25-count (Health and Beauty)
I have the older BLUE Strips that some say are more sensitive. If they are, I'd hate to see the newer pink ones. I first tested the morning after my missed period and got a negative (1st test). Tested the following morning and got a negative (2nd test) BUT I could see a faint, faint place where the positive line would/should be. Tested the morning after that and could see under the top layer where the positive line "might" be appearing, but to me it still looked negative (3rd test). Tested the following morning (4th test) and again saw a very, very faint place where the positive line "almost" showed up (turned ever so lightly pink - but STILL did NOT look like a positive to me). THAT day (4th day after missed period) I went to the store and bought a First Response Early Test and mid-day it IMMEDIATELY turned DARK PINK. These tests are good if you are wondering if you should buy a better more expensive test, but not much else. I am confident that if I had tested with a First Response Early Test the day I missed my period, it would have been positive (just like it was with my 1st pregnancy).

My advice when reading the test is - if you see anything resembling a second pink line - go buy a First Response Early Test and see if you are pregnant.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding pregnancy test; Accurate as low as 5 HCG's!, February 7, 2011

I have had between 17 and 22 miscarriages; early ones. I have also had 5 healthy children, all over 15 years. By checking HCG's via pregnancy test I don't have to endure all the expensive HCG tests at the hospital. In the past I have used more expensive brands of preg. tests but discovered these with my last MC. They are awesome! My last Pregnancy tried to hang on but would not grow so I was using these and simultaneously having hospital HCG's taken. The pink 25 count Wondfo pregnancy tests measured my hcg's as low as 5 HCG'S! I was able to watch them and know what was happening. I saw the hcg's go up and down; back up and down (again it was a bad pregnancy). Different from other reviewers, I also bought the blue "early" tests and they weren't nearly as good. They say they're 'early' tests but the pink ones, far outshined the blue ones. In fact, the pink ones showed a positive line until the hospital HCG went to zero the following day. They also, cofirmed zero at the same time! I've never had such accurate home tests! The blues ones didn't show a positive test after 18.

Here's a trick. With the pregnancy tests, I found that you can leave them sitting for 12 hours or so to see if a positive line appears. If it does, you are probably pregnant, just very early. As they dry, the HCG will show up as a faint line after it sits if you are pregnant. Again, the blue tests did NOT work as well. The pink one's were accurate 100% of the time.

HCG's should double every 48 - 72 hours. If your positive line gets darker every 48 - 72 hours, then the baby is growing normally. If it doesn't, then it may not be growing normally. If you are new to this, having some progesterone levels and HCG's done at the hospital would be helpful in confirming the health of your current pregnancy. (I hate to sound robotic about this, but I've had to learn to be. Makes it hurt less when I loose one.)

Ladies struggling with frequent miscarriages, be sure you are getting plenty of Iodine! I found out last month that I am Iodine deficient! Iodine is a mineral that must be eaten; your body does not produce it. I'm told that Iodine is in every cell in your body and pertinent for optimal thyroid function and hormonal balance. I began taking Idoral or Iodoral(I may have the spelling wrong- bought it on Amazon). I take one mineral tablet per day. I immediately felt better; clearer thinking, better memory, more energy, and even lost 3 lbs. Then the best part, I ovulated on day 15 for the first time in years!!!! I usually don't ovulate until week 3 or even sometimes week 4!!! I'll keep you posted on the progress there! Still no positive test but I'm out of pink ones, I only have some blue tests. Ordering more pink today!

In short, if you are struggling to conceive, hang in there. For each little one, of mine, that 'flies to Jesus', I tell myself, 'I am that much closer to holding one in my arms'. I seem to have around 3 miscarriages before I can carry a baby full term. I am so incredibly grateful that I didn't give up; I have 5 amazing children to enjoy each and every day. Had I stopped, someone would be missing and there would be a forever missing place in our family. Press on mighty warrior! May God's mighty hand bless you, your womb, your baby, and your family. Isaiah 54:7 May not weapons formed against you prosper. May none be barren or miscarry among you- Exodus 23:26.
