ADDICTING :),
By
This review is from: Wondrous Wizards (Dover Coloring Books) (Paperback)
I am 59 and have about 25 of these Dover Coloring books and really like all but 2 of them. (it is just a matter of what you like, though). When you buy these from Amazon, you get one free if you buy 3. I took the suggestion of several reviewers and bought a good set of colored pencils. I got regular and fine line. My daughter (also an adult) wanted to color some, too. I came up with the idea to copy them on my printer for her. Then I decided to copy all of them when I want to color. This way we can use the pictures over and over. It is nice to use a heavier printer paper. Be careful, we find it to be a very addicting past time!

My therapist recommended coloring very complex pics with colored pencils as a means to reduce stress. These are wonderful pics to do that with. I highly recommend them.

lovely book but pages are printed double sided,

This is a lovely book of some fantastic wizard drawings - love it! Only problem is that the pages are printed double sided, so if you use ink/felt tip pens, it bleeds through onto the other side. So the drawing on the opposite side is now unusable. I plan to either buy another copy for coloring the back side pages, or make photocopies as was suggested in another review.

I, too, have a large collection of Dover coloring books and they're a great past-time for me as an adult. These are great to do while listening to the t.v.
This particular one is one of my favs. It's chock full of male and beautiful female wizards, dragons, and mystical lore. It's so good, I refuse to color in the actual book. Instead I photocopy the images and do the copies. Dover publications are high quality, printed on high quality white stock paper. You can't go wrong with these. Dover also allows limited reproduction rights for use in crafts, etc, which is cool.

Yes, I purchased this product two years ago, when my daughter was five. She is now seven, and I still have the coloring book. The images are amazing, and have incredibly intricate details to them. I loved watching her, at times, add additional squiggles/embellishments to "her" vision of the wizards. Her sole complaint regarding the book was that there weren't enough female wizards. Truthfully, the book has an equal (or fairly equal split). She colored all of the lady wizards, and then decided--which tells me she had a great deal of fun working on this coloring book--that the male wizards warranted her attention as well.Coloring books are phenomenal, and I know that parents don't always consider Dover as age appropriate, opting instead for coloring books featuring the Disney princes, etc., but I have to say these books are tremendously fun (too) , and varied in theme. Also, compared to many affordable coloring books out there (those meant for children), the page quality is remarkable, significantly thicker than the pages of most children's coloring books. I love this book (have purchased many Dover publications for my daughter over the years, and she has gotten much use of of each of them. Highly recommend for your coloring AND wizard enthusiast.

Thanks for Customer Images,

Thanks to D Springer for uploading images of beautifully colored pages from this coloring book. One of my big frustrations is that I would like to be able to preview more pictures from each book than those available on the front cover before I decide to buy. I really appreciate people taking the time to do this. I'll definitely be buying this book out of next month's coloring budget!

Beautiful drawings to color, with many pages having plenty of detail, and some with less detail for when you don't want to spend too much time on a page. I'm going to scan some pages to color digitally. Crayons won't do these pages justice. I like that some of the pages have decorative borders.

I love this coloring book. It's challenging but its still a lot of fun. I would recommend this if you like to color no matter how old you are.

I'm a college student, an uncle and I still love to color. Coloring is fun for all ages and what's better than coloring in fantasy creatures and wizards? Older folks shouldn't feel weird about coloring, the ones that don't should! It's an excellent way to slow down time and bring people back to their childhood one page at a time. Moreover it's a fantastic way to relax with a simple task of making your imagination run away with itself.

This book is great you like colouring, even as an adult. The pictures are detailed, interesting and still pretty. It's a great book, that I think nearly all colouring enthusiasts would like!
