This is great - fun chick music at its best. Especially good for getting yourself glammed up for a big night out - forget your nervousness as you put on your lipstick to "I Am the Body Beautiful", then groove to the excellent tracks like "Do What You Wanna Do" and "Who Taught You How". I'm especially glad they included "She's a Lady" and "Brick House". And the remix of "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" is one of the few remixes that isn't annoying - it's as much fun as the original. The only reason I give it a 9 instead of a 10 - it was really strange to have that tiny little bit of score included at the end (and I don't think Rachel Portman's the greatest movie music writer who's ever lived), and the "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" cover is not the most enjoyable thing to listen to. Leave that one to Judy Garland.

This film and its soundtrack are gay camp at their best!! Cyndi Lauper's remix of "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" is stellar. In fact, there's not a bad track on this disc! I'd say this soundtrack will one day be up there with its campy predecessor, "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." ^_^ Great!

Style vs Substance - this movie AND cd have both. HIGHLY recommend it ESPECIALLY to Salt N Pepa fans! Body Beautiful Baby, WORK that BODY! haha! GET IT! NOW! Nice spot with Rupaul at Webster Hall, which if you grew up in NYC is good enough of a reason to get the movie...
