I bought both these wooden risers and at the same time purchased the "Delux" bed risers made of some sort of hard plastic which are also sold on Amazon. The Delux plastic risers are much better.....larger groove for the bed feet, larger base to prevent falling over, and higher off the floor to allow more room for storage. Although I highly recommend raising your bed for storage, I would buy only the "Delux" risers in the future.

The risers I received are not as pictured on Amazon. They are unfinished wood. They are not what I expected at all. Basically picture big chunky blocks of wood.

Opened the retaped box and had to air out items since they still had a strong odor of the laquer. Upon inspection one of the risers had a long verticle split in the wood. I glued it but was not impressed that these had made the grade when packed by the company.
