This review is from: Wood, Brick and Stone: The North American Settlement Landscape : Barns and Farm Structures (Paperback)
This is an excellent source for the serios student of vernacular architecture. Noble's book is thorough. He introduces the reader to the evolution of barns and catagorizes barnes by ther ethnic orgin - i.e. German Barn; English Barn. The book contains many photos, but as imoprtant are the plan and section diagrams that Noble provides. This is an excellent sourcebook.
