I have to admit I was skeptical about this set at such a low price. I was looking for something comfortable that gave solid performance and yet something other than the same old cheap but functional pen and pencils that I have used for years. The looks and feel are great. The mechanics seem to be solid and smooth. This set was just a little different esthetically. Different but not fancy - I am not out to impress anyone by caring a fancy Pencil around. Seemed just right for my mood. The price seemed too low. I was prepared to not be impressed. I have used the set now for about a month. I really like it. I often carry the pen with me, sometimes both pen and pencil. I am on line now to order two more sets for graduation gifts. I have no complaints. I can see no downside to this product.

The other two secretaries and I were looking for a Christmas gift for the nine professionals in our office. We try to limit our budget to $10 for each gift. Finding this pen and pencil set was the perfect answer. They have the look and feel of being much more expensive and are beautifully gift boxed for an impressive presentation. We're thrilled with our choice!

I bought this pen set for my nephew's graduation so I never actually got to see it in person. But, when I spoke to him he said it was beautiful! Shipped quickly.

So, the anniversary was approaching. I purchased a notebook that I knew the hubby would love, but I needed a pen/pencil set to go with it. Money was tight (who's isnt in this economy...) and I came across these when searching online. I read the reviews, which actually changed my mind, since I was not planning on buying the set. I ordered and the item shipped same day. I received it in the mail 2 days later. They are very simple and clean looking. The color is beautiful. The quality is great. I would expect to pay at least twice this amount for the set after seeing it in person. My husband loves them, the way they write and how they sit in his hand. He is an architect and uses them a lot, so the weight of the writing utensil makes a difference. I am very pleased with my purchase, and am very happy I took the chance and got these.

EDIT!!!!

The pencil completely stopped working in this set. I dont know if the mechanism was faulty, but I have tired everything to get it working again, with no success. Its very disappointing since I have only owned them a couple months and since they were a gift to my husband I feel even worse. I suppose I will have to spend the extra $ and buy a better built set, which is sad since I really liked these and they seemed like they were really good quality. On the other hand, the pen has held up great and gets well used.

I have always liked wood pens/pencils like this one. The feel of real wood while writing is a much warmer---friendly--- user experience. I like having the case so that they can just be thrown into my gadget bag when heading out the door. I do wish they would have made 2 holes for holding the pen and pencil as shown in the picture. In my mind that is a pretty big deficit. Kind of goes under the category of What the heck were they thinking!

It is because of this lack of design that I gave it 4 stars. I just assumed their would be a hole for each but no.

I have not seen the product, but I bought this as a gift and they are extremly happy with it
