Review
"For builders and remodelers who incorporate wood decks into their new home designs and rennovations, and particularly for those who specialize in deck construction, I highly recommend this manual. The graphics, tables, and charts are easy to comprehend and extremely well presented." --
Andy Cattano, Technical Services, New Jersey Builders Association"If you're looking for a book to learn more about the technical details of deck building, buy a copy of Wood Decks: Materials, Construction, and Finishing published by the Forest Products Society. It's one of the best books I've seen on the subject." --
A. Robert Gould, Executive Editor, Workbench Magazine"If you're looking for a primer on deck building, try Wood Decks: Materials, Construction, and Finishing, which covers every step from footings to finishing. While most other books in this category consist primarily of photographs of beautiful decks, this manual concentrates specifically on proper techniques for constructing safe, long-lasting structures....the text is technical and authoritative, yet easy to understand even for the novice do-it-yourselfers." --
