Product Description

Portable and lightweight, the QuikBENCHâ"¢ is a workbench that's easy to set up and capable of holding up to 300 lbs. Convert two QuikBENCHESâ"¢ to sawhorses, and together they will hold up to 2,000 lbs. Two benches can be connected together to form a work station; in fact, you can connect as many benches as necessary to create a bench sized to your specific needs. The QuikBENCH work surface measures 30" x 24" and is 32" in height. Each bench has a 24"-wide by 3-1/2" opening vise and a 15-amp, circuit protected, three-outlet power strip, plus four plastic bench dogs.

I just received a pair of these. Wanted them as a handy sawhorse/work surface for my carport.
Just opened up the boxes a few minutes ago. Both units are damaged as the plastic pins that hold the lower shelf are already snapped off. This is a critical part of the design as the lower shelf is what holds the legs open. May consider replacing the pins with some type of bolts but still the plastic on the shelf is very thin so probably not going to work.

The concept is nice but the quality of manufacturing is poor. As these are quite heavy - about 26# each - I would think the components would be of better quality. Especially the most important moving part - the lower shelf!!

Will probably return these.

I compared this to the folding Keter bench and went with the Keter. The metal locking angle brackets are a little cumbersome and pinch hazards. I have the Vika bench, which appears to be made by the same company, and think the folding brackets are awkward on that bench too. Woodcraft retails this bench for $129. At around $69 the Keter is a better bench and better deal. Also the keter is a little wider.

Haven't used the extension cord plug feature yet, but otherwise I am quite pleased with this workbench. The only thing lacking (and this is nitpicking) is a storage place for the bench dogs. (I placed the bench dogs and small manual into a small zip-lock bag to keep them together.)
Popping QuikBENCH open is much easier (and faster) than opening my Stanley adjustable sawhorses and laying a piece of plywood on top. My first impression of the vise is to use it ONLY for light clamping (vise worked well holding small pieces while sanding), but time will tell about durability.
