Just received this item and so far so good. My item arrived intact. No problems with the lid or inlays. I purchased the black incense burner. I wouldn't call it distressed but I do like the little imperfections. It feels aged and with character. I didn't want a perfectly painted incense burner.

The storage is ideal for sticks but can be used for cones. Incense stay lit and diffuse well when the lid is closed. Ashes stay inside, so no more messy ashes all over the place. :)

The burner has holes on both sides of the unit for stick incense and two plates for cones. I really like it and will be gifting the item on another purchase.

**Be sure to buy quality incense for this unit. The lower quality incense may not stay lit when the lid is closed. Or you can leave the lid ajar. Nice burner either way.**

First of all, the design is beautiful. The box is clean, the ashes don't get everywhere. It works great--I have no complaints! Just a warning: be careful what sticks you buy. Because some are too thin to stay up on their own.

I like the style of the box quite a bit. Unfortunately, when I took it out of the shipping package, one of the brass inlays fell out. Then I realized that it was difficult to open the top of the box. I was worried that by opening it, the thing would break. Maybe I got a lemon and the rest are okay, but I must admit that I was dissapointed somewhat. It does have a good price though, so maybe I expected too much.

I ordered this for my step-sons Christmas present. The hinges were rusted, the wood was cracked, and it wouldn't open because the hinges weren't placed correctly. The box itself was beautiful but we couldn't use it. I gave it 2 stars for the look of the box and the speedy delivery.

I do not have any problems with the incense burner i purchased. The boyfriend had to make the holes for the sticks a tiny bit bigger, thats the only probleem (and i wouldnt even consider that a problem.

This was $8.95. It's made of something very light like balsa wood. The interior was cracked and we had to use wood glue to fix it. Looks like something you could pick up at the 99-cent store. Not worth the price they're asking, but it serves the purpose so my daughter decided to keep it.

This is a neat incense burner. The lid keeps the ashes inside even with fans going nearby. Most incense stays lit thanks to the multiple airflow holes. The little storage compartment is quite handy & I like the fact you can burn cones and/or sticks. The craftsmanship is not top-notch, but not shoddy either. The lid is a bit stiff to open (maybe some lube would help) & the brass inlays aren't perfect (a tip of a moon is broken). On the other hand, the imperfections lend to the handmade feel of the item. All in all a nice burner that keeps incense tidy. Grab this, some Nag Champa Incense Sticks 100 gms, & get burning!

This product is okay. I ordered two of these and one of them broke because of the cat knocking it off the ledge. However, the 2nd one broke all on it's own. The hindges came off and so the cover is all lop-sided.

However, the design of the box is really neat and that's why I like them. Their different from anything I've ever owned before because you can still close the lid and the smell looks like a fog coming out of the box!

I have one of these and my brother has in the past. He asked me for nagchampa for his birthday so I decided to put this in his package as well. When it arrived at his house the lid was completely cracked. It was shipped in a timely manner. the only problem I have is that it arrived broke do to improper packaging. You cannot contact the seller directly and I guess Amazon does not either. This was a gift for my brother who lives in PA and I live in OR, so he had to mail it to Amazon himself. So with all of that he just decided not to get anything else! I do not know if the people on the phone really understood what I was trying to tell them, but they were trying to help.(Amazon Customer Support)

I sent this to a friend who was very pleased. I think that it is better for storing incense in a pretty way that perfumes the room than it is for actually burning incense. Arrived qucikly.
