John Wooden is legendary among basketball coaches. He won 10 NCAA championships, including seven in a row. While always seen as a calm presence on the sideline, he was nonetheless a fierce competitor and drove his players hard in practice. Yet throughout his career, he remained true to ideals taught him by his parents back in rural Indiana. The book lists the advice he got from his father and shows how that has played out in his life. It also presents several of the coach's own rules for life. The book is not for basketball junkies. There's no insider information on famous games and players. Wooden's results speak volumnes about the power of his philosophies.
In this audio program, Wooden* speaks to you and me about those philosophies, how to implement them, and why they matter. You're life will be better for listening to this program. * The reader on the audio program is Beau Bridges. He does an excellent job and at times I found myself forgetting it wasn't Wooden himself.
