I bought this timer to run my stock tank heater for my horses. The heaters are 1500 Watts, and this timer handles that load just fine.I like that it has a tight fitting cover that keeps the dust, dirt and moisture away from the pins. That should make it last longer. The pins are in 15 minute increments, and allow great flexibility. They are hard to move with your finger, so use a pointy object. Since I always have a multitool with me, its not a big deal. The cord could be a bit longer to allow for better mounting, and for the covers of your outdoor outlets to close properly. But this timer has saved me well over $50 per month on my water heating bills.
The clock died on the first one in less than two weeks. The supplier shipped a replacement promptly with no questions and a return wasn't necessary. The second one lasted for a month, the clock is working but the on/off switch no longer works. I would advise you to avoid this one. I'm going to try another brand.
