I want to buy the deal of the the day Woodstock Music Festival Blu Ray but have read there is a set with an exclusive Amazon disk, and a Target exclusive set, are these worth the extra $25 or more rather than just getting the basic Blu Ray set that is $26.99 in the deal of the day?

I'm confused by your question. The current price of $26.99 IS the exclussive set (read the description). I bought the basic DVD when the 40th anniversary set came out, and am going to buy the current offering at the current price. WHAT A
DEAL! This concert was the high moment of the 60's counter-cultural movement. After it was over there was a great deal of hope and expectation. Within in a few months that collapsed and it became predominately a culture of hedonism, self-promotion, and power rangling. I was never so caught up in the movement that I was unable to detect the change.

This is not the Amazon-exclusive edition. That one is still selling for $61.49.

This is NOT the exclusive set. That one is $62. The one offered is the deluxe set offered everywhere. The Target set and Amazon sets each has 20 additional minutes of footage that was meant to get customers to buy from a certain store (since they were supposed to be the same price as the non-exclusive deluxe set).

Unless you are a fanatic, the GB set should be plenty...

Buy the blu ray from amazon.co.uk. It has ALL 6 of the extra performances and all 7 of the exclusive featurettes from Amazon and Target and comes in basic packaging. The blu ray is region free and plays just fine on US blu ray players. The picture quality is the same. It is currently only around $20. I have it and it is by far the best way to get all of the material.

Does anyone else own the UK set with all the extra content?

I have in my hand today, the Amazon UK version WITH ALL THE Target/Amazon USA excl. featurettes and bonus never avail/seen artist footage on 2 discs. yes,,,none of the swag, ALL THE CONTENT...for those that do NOT want to buy 2 copies of this title to own it all!!!!
3 hrs of bonus content. 16 artists performances NOT seen on the standard or Direct. Cut releases.
This puppy is LOADED w/ bonus, extras, featurettes. Glad I held out, not wasting HUGE wads of cash buying 2 USA store/online exclusive gouging/double-dipping headache. Forget the US Amazon excl., Target store excl. and WB editions...the UK ed. is the one to buy and own!

So what are the new Jefferson Airplane songs? The uk website only lists 3/5 of a mile in 10 seconds, but I seen clips of Volunteers about. Also, are the long circulated White Rabbit and Somebody to Love included. Is Grace Slick really interviewed in the featurette Woodstock: From festival to Film? So many questions. Oh, by the way - Hi Michael - we used to email back in the day about all things Grace Slick.

Only songs JA perform: 3/5 of a Mile in 10 secs.(Never before on video) Won't You Try, Uncle Sam's Blues. As for Featurette(multiple segments) having Grace, the answer is no. Only members of Ten Yrs After and Sha Na Na were featured.
