The Woodstock Temple Block was a great buy. It is finished well, makes a great sound, and even has an aroma that is very pleasant. Any practicing Buddhist will love this item, as well as others who just want to amuse themselves.

Some times you have to guess when buying on line.
I guessed right, great tone from this temple block. I wish they had more sizes, I would by more.

I like this item. Its tone is pure and distinctive. Unfortunately, the pillow included is cheap. The mallet has a nice weight, with a head made of a rubbery substance. The wood is beautiful, and though I have a hard time seeing the fish head the carving is said to represent, I like the metaphor for constant awareness, like a fish who never closes its eyes.
