5.0 out of 5 stars Woodstock chimes
Woodstock has the best sounding wind chimes I have owned. They can be tolerated by most anyone - even those who dislike the tinkling of most other chimes! Everyone who comes over comments on the beautiful sound of the chimes. Since they are properly pitched, musicians can even enjoy these! The baritone is my favorite, with its rich, warm lower tones.

Don't be taken...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not quite as advertised...
Those who buy this 56" windchime should know that the longest chime is 32"... and so it doesn't have the deep tones that Gregorian baritone implies. Baritone what? My wife likes it, so I'll keep it, but I don't think it is truth in advertising. And it's probably my first and only purchase from this maker, because I have no idea what I am buying.

I would...

Don't be taken back by their price - you get your money's worth with chimes from Woodstock.

This chime was a gift for my wife last Spring. We loved it so much I've made all the different tones of Gregorian presents for special occasions. Now we have them all, so I'm starting at the top again to put more on the other side of the house. These need just a little wind to make a nice sound. The Baritone is amazing and worth getting first. The wind catcher is balanced nicely butit will take a bit more wind than for the smaller models. Consider putting it higher where more breezes will make it chime. Put it outside, near a window to enjoy the sounds indoors. A great and gentle addtiion to any outdoor setting.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful!!, June 19, 2006
This review is from: Woodstock Chimes Gregorian Baritone Windchime (Lawn & Patio)
I was surprised by how big this windchime really is. If you are looking for a windchime with deeper tones to it, this is it. It sounds so beautiful. Word to the wise though, if you go to Woodstocks website and check some of the other online vendors through them, you can find it a lot cheaper!

I would like to add, in 2009, that I have grown to really like this wind chime. Its sound is pleasant, not real deep, but pleasant. It is still important to me to know how long the actual chimes of a wind chime are before a purchase... which is difficult to determine from the description.

5.0 out of 5 stars baritone chimes Woodstock, April 23, 2001

My little brother got this chime for Christmas. I love it! It has the nicest sound of any chime I have ever heard! The Baritone chimes have a deeper tone, which is very soft as well like Swiss cow bells We have these hanging outside of the front door.I enjoy it each time we go out. Great

I have always been impressed with the quality of Woodstock products and was delighted, once again, with the Gregorian baritone chime. It sounds wonderful, so unlike other chimes, and is very substantial. Now, I just wish for windy days! It was helpful when I found a website that contains recordings of the various chimes; it helped me decide which to order.

3.0 out of 5 stars Misleading, May 22, 2006

Girlfriend likes it but I think ad is misleading. Listed as 56 inches long but longest pipe is only 34 inches, why not make the string 10 feet long than you could say it is 120 inches. Also listed as hand tuned but fail to say this is done by someone in China. One other thing I am not sure but I do not think the pipes are anodized but are coated with something like a varnish.
June 08 and this chime has turned to junk, the wood is all warped and pealing and the pipes are falling off. This is a very low quality wind chime. Wish I could change to one star.

Beautifully done. This was my second Woodstock chime. The melodic baritone imparts a haunting counterpoint to the sound of the wind blowing through the trees. Far superior in accoustics to anything else in my neighborhood, the sound seems to ride the wind itself...

I am delighted with the wonderful tone of this wind chime. A nice deep baratone on key chime.
I wish they could have packaged it a little better, it took a great deal of time to get it unwound and up...but very much worth the effort.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Chimes, July 19, 2005
This review is from: Woodstock Chimes Gregorian Baritone Windchime (Lawn & Patio)
My husband absolutely loved the chimes he received for Father's day. They are in the back of a 2 acre lot nestled in the tree line overhanging a park bench and we still enjoy them from the back deck on our house.

The beautiful music they play helps to relax and put us in a different place and I don't regret the purchase.
