I went to their website where I could preview listen to the various chimes.
This set is so pleasant that I bought a second set for the front of my home. Between great quality and a good price, it's a perfect compromise.

The sounds are full and clear, not at all clangy or tinny sounding. All it takes is a light breeze to experience the sound. It's also very subtle: I hung it on the front porch right outside the living room and if I want to hear it, I just shift my attention to it. Otherwise it's a charming background sound that doesn't intrude on what I'm doing.

Love these bronze pipe wind chimes. Nice sounds.
We have them hanging under the car port to keep them
from the weather elements. I would recommend them to
anyone who loves chimes around their home.
Received them in a timely manor.
Will purchase more later.

There are so many Woodstock chimes to choose from that I had a hard time making up my mind as to the chime sound I wanted and the looks of the windchime itself. I visited the company's website first so that I could listen to all the Woodstock chimes that Amazon carries, ones I thought were both pretty and interesting looking. The Encore Chimes of Pluto had such a beautiful melody, full and rich, but not a deep sound nor a tinkly cheap one, either. Just perfect. So then I was torn between the bronze colored pipes and these in black. I was excited but still a little doubtful since these chimes are a little more expensive than I'm used to.

Well, my chimes came from Amazon today and they are just gorgeous and the melody is simply perfect! I'm so very pleased with both the lovely dark wood finish of the chime top and clapper, and also with the black coating of the pipes. Having owned probably more than 25 windchimes over the years, these are the best quality and the most pleasing of any, both in looks and sound. I couldn't be better satisfied and plan to purchase another set later! I only wish I could give this item more than 5 stars!

We have a great wraparound porch and I've filled the spaces with hanging plants and chimes every other space. This very nice size set of chimes is in a place of honor. They sound awesome and look so pretty hanging. I recommend them to anyone who enjoys a good, strong and melodic sounding wind chime. You won't regret the purchase.

The Woodstock Percussion "Pluto" chimes have a rich, mellow tone - they most certainly are not "tinkly" or tinny sounding. The appear to very well made, with string insulators in each tube, they are well tuned, and are overall just a very nice product. Love 'em!

I've had these chimes for over two years now...just haven't gotten around to reviewing them until now! I listened to all the .wav files on their site and finally decided on this tone. They are awesome and the perfect sound. They have been outside and exposed to weather and I have barely cared for them. The wood is still in great condition and the chimes sound great. They are loud, so that's something to consider. I can hear them inside the house (they are on the front porch) with the windows closed. They are a pleasure!

These are simply beautiful! You get quality, beauty, and value in this little gem! The sound is not to high and not to low - kind of a high alto sound.

These chimes sound very nice. They're absolutely beautiful. The matte black chimes and the cherry wood colored wood parts look very nice together. I'm very pleased with the chimes and with Amazon's quick delivery.
