I have another Woodstock Percussion wind chime which I'm, really happy with, but this one is disappointing. Despite the product image showing a fairly sized striker wheel, it's really a small wooden ball and it takes a strong wind to get this small ball to hit the tubes. It's a beautiful piece to look at, but I hope they improve the striker to be big enough to cover the circumference of the tubes.

First let me say, the delivery was really nice. They came beautifully wrapped and not tangled.
I immediately hung them outstide and luckily it is breezy today. The sound is beautiful. Not too loud, not too quiet, not too soft or harsh. They are just right. They have a very deep sound that seems to radiate. I love them. They are also very very pretty to look at.
I would highly recommend these windchimes. YOu really can't find a better bargain out there.

I have a few Woodstock chimes, and this one is the least expensive of my set. It's cost is not indicative of its sound! It sounds beautiful and looks great hanging on my deck. I have no trouble with it at all, it sounds in mild breezes so the striker works fine, despite the issue others might have with it. It has nice rich tones (the Amazing Grace one nearby has lighter, higher tones). If you want an affordable entry-level priced chime with the wonderful sounds that Woodstock chimes give you, this is the one to get and start your collection!

A beautiful windchime which "plays" a symphony of chimes in the slightest breeze. The wood is weatherproof too.

I own another larger Woodstock chime that is so incredibly magical sounding that I ordered this one for my kitchen window. It is small,which I expected and wanted. The short black pipes are fairly loud, but just okay sounding. I thought from the photo the top would be black, in reality it is an uneven medium cherry stain, darker in some areas. The photo depicted "red" wind catcher is the same evenly applied cherry stain. Another reviewer suggested going to the woodstock website to listen before you buy-I wish I had on this one as then I would not have bought it.

Ok, ok...so these chimes are small. Let's face it $13 for a set of chimes that sound like these is a bargain. I bought these chimes to compliment my Woodstock Craftsman chimes. The higher range chimes really fill in the backyard.

Woodstock makes chimes that are musically tuned. A musical note thingy is included which shows the note(s).

Hey...if you really want to hear some awesome chimes check out Woodstock's Big Ben chimes. Wow..they'll blow your minds and tweak off your neighbors as well.

The wind chime looks okay, but the striker is not the same as it is shown in the picture. Rather than being a "disk" almost touching the sticks, it's just small ball that is half an inch away from the sticks. The only time it rings is when I push it by hand.

It's a chime alright, but it's no wind chime. Well, if you have a storm then may be then, else ...

We bought this for a house warming gift for a new neighbor. I know it said it was 17 inches long, but come on. 17 inches from where you hang it to the wind catcher? Oh well. It does sound nice, but honestly you have to be pretty darn close to it to appreciate its sounds. I was disappointed. I bet they were too:(

I ordered these chimes because A) I love Woodstock chimes and B) they were a great price! I knew they would be smaller than the other chimes I have however for the price I couldn't resist. The total size is only like a foot and a half; chime tubes maybe about six inches. In my opinion they are perfect for my kitchen window though, where I do not want a large set. Because of the light weight of these chimes, mine seem to "sing" a lot. It is a higher pitched chime as it is small but it is not annoying or ear piercing and is nicely made for the price. Although I think you couldn't buy a bad Woodstock chime.... The verdigris color is gorgeous.

I have purchased many Woodstock chimes, and love them all....temporarily. The chimes are clear sounding and pleasant. They get 5 stars! The piece of wood they are attached to is a different story. I use all of my chimes outside, so I realize they will be weather beaten sooner than those on a patio or porch, but still. I get about 2 months of use before the wood starts to split and peel, and then the strings holding the chimes fall out. They have to be re-nailed or stapled. I follow the directions and put lemon oil on them, to no avail. If you don't care about how they look, Woodstock chimes are the best. The only chime that has lasted is the one hanging from the fan on the screen porch. Still, very pleasant sounding, especially before a storm blows in!!! Please note, the company was willing to exchange them, but I have so many, I would live at the Post Office!!!!
