Nine black nylon cords pass through the 6-1/2-inch square plinth made of cherry-finished hardwood, and the entire chime measures 28 inches in length. Musician Gary Kvistad founded Woodstock Chimes in 1979, and today the family-owned company produces a wide range of handcrafted, precision-tuned chimes. BREAKING NEWS: WOODSTOCK CHIMES ARE THE BEST! -- based on my experience with others, woodstock chimes are of better quality and have much better sound.
Purchased the "Mission Bells Wind Chimes" and truly love its calming sound and its brassy look; have mission-style furniture and am "crazy" about the mission-style look. Mounted chimes near my bedroom window so that I can better hear them from my bed cause I am bedridden due to a neuro-muscular disease I have suffered with for many years having absolutely no help from MDA! Also, live in apartments and chimes are surely "neighbor-friendly."
