5.0 out of 5 stars ... saved our mental health
Our baby has gas attacks. Poor little fella would ball and look us right in the eye as if to say, "Help me." It literally was breaking our heart. A few weeks after he was born, my father brought back a bottle of Woodward's Gripe Water from the West Indies. It changed our lives. Our son at 5 months still has the gas attacks, but we quickly give him a dose of his G.W. It...

2.0 out of 5 stars Preservatives
My review is not on how well this works but my concerns over the preservative. The Woodward's Grip water has Nipasept sodium ( 2 parabens) and thats not ggod for infants! I would suggest a homeopathic version or other herbal formula. Who wants to give tiny infant preservatives 8 times a day.

5.0 out of 5 stars ... saved our mental health, November 30, 2007
This review is from: Woodward's Gripe Water 130ml (Pack of 4) (Health and Beauty)
It takes about 20 seconds to settle his stomach. No lie... he goes from balling out of pain to smiling and laughing as quick as that. We've tried other versions of Gripe Water, but nothing compares to Woodward's. It doesn't make him drowsy or have any sort of side effects. I could not imagine what my life would be like without it. This is no exaggeration!

5.0 out of 5 stars same product that I drank as a kid just a new packaging, July 20, 2011

same product that I used to be fed by mom when I was a kid looks like they just changed the packaging to plastic and the paper wraping used to be bright blue (if I am not mistaken). My 4 mo. old baby prefers the taste of Woodward GW compared to the local brands sold in the US pharmacies like Little Tummies etc.
BTW it is sold for about a dollar a bottle in indian gorcerry stores if you live in one of the heavily south asian populated areas.

Had tried Mylicon and such and they only worked here and there.
Bought this off of a recommendation from a friend who said all the other Gas Reliefs break the bubbles up but don't actually get rid of them. (Sure your baby will be happy when you give them sugar water!)
This gripe water... worked Every Time. And it does not contain alcohol.
I know it's more expensive, but do yourself a favor and get the 4 pack.
Plus it justifies the shipping price.

5.0 out of 5 stars SANITY SAVER - with NO alchohol!!, April 14, 2008
By
This review is from: Woodward's Gripe Water 130ml (Pack of 4) (Health and Beauty)
Woodward's Gripe WaterThere has been NO ALCHOL in Woodards Gripe water SINCE 1992 -" It is true, the original formula for Woodward's contained 3.6% alcohol, but in 1992, following public pressure, the alcohol was removed, as well as the sucrose."

I had 2 very colicky babies and Woodwards Gripe water saved my sanity and them from suffering. I've given away many bottles since to very grateful new parents. Both my children are now in their twenties and they will be using Woodwards with their own children.

This stuff is great for colic or just a fussy baby. It will save you from pulling your hair out when nothing else seems to work. I recommend it for everyone who has a new born baby.

Woodwards Gripe Water is a excellent remedy for newborn babies. Works in minutes. I was raised on it and now my grandson is too. Brilliant - recommend for all mothers with newborns.

5.0 out of 5 stars good old gripe water to calm baby's crying due to gas, October 11, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Woodward's Gripe Water 130ml (Pack of 4) (Health and Beauty)
I was surprised to find that they had Gripe water on Amazon and none other than 'made in India' Woodward's! It is a great option to soothe my baby's crying especially when he seems to cry for no reason - he has been fed, he's changed and sleepy but cranky - its usually gas that gives him trouble. Often I have given him a drop or two even as was crying and he would stop in the middle of a yell :-) I would certainly recommend it along with choosing a formula that works best. For our baby we ended up with Gerber's Goodstart Gentle after trying three others.
