The Woodworking Companion provides access to a massive amount of information on a wide range of woodworking topics such as: wood, tools, techniques, safety, shop math, project design, wood joints, gluing and clamping, making curved shapes, applying a finish, and much, much more.

The Woodworking Companion works on IBM Compatible 386 or higher. The CD-ROM contains both 16- et 32-bits versions of each of the programs (for compatibility with both WINDOWS 3.1x, 95 or 98).

I am quite impressed at the vast amount of information that The Woodworking Companion provides. You would have to purchase many books to obtain the information contained in the CD. Although The Woodworking Companion is aimed at the amateur woodworker, I must say that it can be of value to more advanced woodworkers also.
