Join Woody in challenging his archenemy Buzz Buzzard in the vile vulture's crazy theme park, where Splinter and Knothead are being held prisoner. Hop aboard and ride cannonballs, take a trip on a rocket, and jump, duck, peck, and surf your way through the many challenging obstacle courses, but watch out for the traps that Buzz and his pesky pals lay in your path. You can play as three main characters from the cartoon: Woody, Splinter, and Knothead. The game is set in 3-D real-time environments, with great special effects and more than 30 levels.

Woody Woodpecker: Escape from Buzz Buzzard Park for PS2:

I couldn't believe how quickly my daughter took to this game -- her first PS2 experience. She now regularly shows ME how it's done and I am a lousy player by comparison. The game never stops challenging her and while there is a bit of violence, it's of the cartoonish type. Woody's sensibility as a character is funny (as in the way he surveys new scenes, or spontaneously dances on occasion). The 3D graphics are really impressive, as is the intuitive nature of your ability to see from Woody's perspective. A great, well-crafted game.
