As a vet I have seen many dogs and cats that have suffered the ill affects from eating low quality diets, and raw food diets, which have caused illness and even death. This book has the correct information, it was well researched, and the recipes are nutrionally balanced. I highly recommend this one to all my patients. I also recommend the author's other book, Lapping it Up for cats.

My great dane is diabetic. Her health was taking a drastic turn for the worse. I was amazed to see such a turn-around in not only her health status; but her alertness, appetite, etc. Ms. Patricia O'Grady also gave me individual guidance counsel. I didn't feel like a number; but like someone she really cared about. I got to know her through Facebook. I have kept this book close at hand; and keep referring to it. The holistic attempt is all new to me, but because of the great results I have seen, I am willing to continue. I am even getting my second dog gradually onto this new diet.Woofing it Down: The quick & easy guide to making healthy dog food at home.

Very Disappointed
I was very disappointed with the book. I was hoping for more recipes and found the ones in the book would be very costly and not what I was interested in feeding my dog. Read more

Well Worth the Money
This book is money well spent. It's much easier than I thought it would be to prepare meals for my dogs, and the other additional information is priceless.
