Book Description

"As a librarian for over 30 years, Wookiwoo, I Love You will be shared throughout the years, and cherished by all who have the opportunity to read this delightful story." ~Carolyn Hopkins, OC Public Libraries

"Every child should have a copy of this book!" ~Dr. Annie Thiel, PhD, MFT

In this heartwarming story, Wookiwoo is a happy little green bird who has found a new friend named Jack. Wookiwoo is always there for Jack as he grows to be a young man. In time Jack outgrows his pet and sets him free. Wookiwoo meets up with Lu Lu, another parrot he knew from the pet shop and they have a family of their own. The ending connects friendship, letting go, and those three little words "I Love You," in this uplifting story about unconditional love.

Wookiwoo is such a heartwarming story. My four year old loves it so much, he asked me to come and read it to his preschool class. I love hearing him say, "Wookiwoo, I Love You". It has sparked an interest in birds, especially parrots. The illustrations are adorable. Love this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A new children's classic! June 6, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
My children and I grabbed the free copy of this book just last month, and they must have read and asked me to read this, a hundred times!
The illustrations are simply charming, and even Deegan, our "new" 2 year old, keeps saying, "aw my little baby!" Lol!
He just loves Wookiwoo and Genevive has this story memorized!
This is such a sweet story and has so many cute pictures and what a precious and very important life lesson to teach! I am so happy that we have found this story! We are expecting a grandbaby in less then a month, and this will be such a cute addition to her room and bookshelf!
I recommend this to children of all ages, and every home should have this on the shelf! I think our favorite part was when Wookiwoo had babies and found his best friend on the park bench.
Even though it was a bit sad, and even Aaron's voice cracks a bit when we get to the sad part, but it is such a beautiful thing to teach and is truly an inspiring book!
This is definitely one that will be around forever, and can be handed down for generations!
