I come back to Lewis's book, Wool Dyeing, again and again, and continually find more information on yet another aspect of dyeing wool. It's very dense and technical in style, most suitable for scientists and for professionals in the textile industry. The book is published by the Society of Dyers and Colourists, and can be ordered very reasonably overseas, directly from the publisher. Used copies in the US are considerably costlier.
