5.0 out of 5 stars Woolite Heavy Traffic Carpet Cleaner vs. Kirby Carpet Cleaner
I used the woolite heavy traffic carpet cleaner, it worked great for me on the upstairs carpet, at first you could see how dirty the carpet was when you walked into the house, but know it looks just like it did when we first brought the house. I was scared at first because I throught it was going to changed my carpet color, high quality of the carpet thickness of it I did...

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst rug cleaner I have ever used
I needed a rug shampoo to clean the carpet on my pontoon boat, prior to putting it in winter storage. At the local grocery store (Jewel), there were several products available. I chose this one because of the Woolite brand, and because it was on sale. What a mistake. It says it covers "up to 170 square feet". Figure more like 50. It gives you special instructions on...

I was scared at first because I throught it was going to changed my carpet color, high quality of the carpet thickness of it I did not think it would clean it... But it did and I was very pleased...I brought a Kirby vaccum with a carpet cleaner which it does't clean like the woolite heavy traffic carpet cleaner does..

This product can be used alone but it is particularly handy when used with the rug stick .If you don't want to get out the heavy rug shampooer after your pet has had an accident, this is perfect and very effective. Once I bought the original kit, I was having a time trying to find replacement cans--as usual Amazon came to my rescue and got my order to me very quickly. Now if i could only find a way to stop my dog from leaving messages to let me know how she feels about being left alone----

I had a coupon from Krogers, but my store never carried this item. After 6 months, I had the idea to try Amazon. There it was! If you have dogs who sometimes have accidents, i.e. throw up the book they ate, this is a great way to clean up and so easy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly Recommended, January 27, 2012

I have an 11'x 8' area rug that has been vacuumed only, and spot cleaned. After four years, I decided that it needed to be cleaned. I didn't want to use a machine, because they tend to use a lot of water, and I didn't want the rug very wet. I researched Woolite and Resolve, and got a last second review from the checker at the store, and decided on Woolite (which was also On Sale). Using a new, damp sponge, and a rather thick coating of foam over the most trafficked area of the rug, I used nearly the entire can. I worked the foam well into the rug,so that no foam was visible, and let it dry on a warm day for about 3 hours. The fragrance is practically nil, and I bought the Woolite because the checker at the store said that she had used the Resolve, and hated the strong fragrance; the Woolite product just smells fresh, not perfumed.

I came home, vacuumed, and will use what's left in the can on the areas that I didn't get the first time. There is NO need to go over the area that I originally cleaned; it's completely refreshed. I couldn't be happier with the result, nor with the product. I did wear gloves, during the application, and I did not move any furniture. I believe that one can would be enough on the entire rug, but with a lighter application of foam. If your rug is larger than 11'x8', you will want more than one can.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst rug cleaner I have ever used, October 18, 2011

I needed a rug shampoo to clean the carpet on my pontoon boat, prior to putting it in winter storage. At the local grocery store (Jewel), there were several products available. I chose this one because of the Woolite brand, and because it was on sale. What a mistake. It says it covers "up to 170 square feet". Figure more like 50. It gives you special instructions on how "to avoid streaming of product from can". Those instructions don't work. The product starts by streaming out of the can, not getting good coverage. Then, as you very quickly begin to run out, it creates a weak spray that spreads across the carpet, but seems ineffective. This is not a good, foamy product that you can spread around, or even brush in. It's a weak covering that disappears and appears to do no noticeable good. Buy anything else but this.

Using the Woolite Heavy Traffic Carpet Cleaner with the Woolite Stick works better than having my carpet professionally cleaned. I love it!

You'll be smitten! This has bumbed oxiclean out of the way for ALL stains in our home. Cat stains, Pug messes, spilt soda, wine, coffee, blood and ?? stains have all come up within 1-2 sprays of this stuff. AMAZING! I spray, it foams up (smells weird for a bit) desolves, I can scrub or not and spray some times a 2nd time, sometimes I vaccum sometimes I don't need too. Most times I just spray and forget about it. GREAT results int he car for getting out weird and hard to reach stains in there as I can spray it into crevaces and nooks and let it dissolve on it's own. I now use it with a smaller scrub brush or a toothbrush to get out all stains if I need to use a brush at all, I just buy the cans by themselves from WalMart - stock up! Most recently I saw a line of detergent on the carpet that had spilt over the washer's soap drawer and blam - grab the Woolite heavy traffic! LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff go make a stain if you don't have one and buy this NOW!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, May 24, 2011
This review is from: Woolite Heavy Traffic Carpet, Rug & Upholstery Cleaner (Kitchen)
This stuff plus a toothbrush got PERMANENT marker out of the carpet. I'm amazed...this is now an item that we keep in the house at all times. It's necessary with a two year old in the house. If you've got a toddler, buy it.
