I owned a pair of land's end flannel lined jeans and I wanted a second pair in black. These were a much better value, but I did sacrifice good fit. I don't know if I could fit in a size smaller but they sure are roomy. The kind of roomy where after I've had them on a bit, I'm pulling them up around the waist. Still, they're very warm and comfortable and I only want them for dog-walking and running around on the weekends, for which they are just fine.

I went looking for fleece-lined jeans for our cold Wisconsin winters. These looked good because I could get black, which I needed, and they had some give to them. Guided by the review that said that they run "huge", I ordered a size 6. I have been wearing size 6, but have gained a bit and fit better in some 8s, though I still wear all my size 6 pants. These were so tiny I could barely get them on, and there was no way I could get the waistband within 6 or 8 inches of the other side. I am going to return, perhaps for a size 10. They seemed fine otherwise, though certainly not a high fashion cut.

With the cold Minnesota winter, these jeans are great. They are soft, warm and comfortable to wear. The only drawback I've found is that the flannel lining gets a little bunched up on one leg and needs to be adjusted. I feel they were worth the money to stay warm!

I guess Woolrich is known for sizing on the large side, but I did not know this. Buyer beware: SIZE DOWN! I bought a size 8, my normal size, and it's about 2 sizes too big. I'm going to try a 6, because the pants are very warm and the fleece is soft.
