5.0 out of 5 stars Great Fusion
I have to repectfully disagree with the first reviewer of this album. I believe that it has plenty of fire. I have to admit that I am new to the group but I have really enjoyed listening to this record. I was only familiar with Kei Eckardt from his work with Count's Jam Band (you need this if you don't have it) and have been looking for something else that he's done...

4.0 out of 5 stars Taking music to a higher plane, May 13, 2009

These guys are doing something special!
In an age of synthetic, computerized music you find here a group of musicians who are not only virtuosos, but have also embraced music technology, incorporate influences from our growing multicultural society and have a great sense of humour!
They also appear to work in a collective way - each member contributing an equal amount composed material.
Some of the tracks were more to my taste then others, but as a whole, the variation in writing style added to the internal contrast and dynamics from track to great.
Anyone who enjoys Weather Report or John McCloughlin will love this band.

I was only familiar with Kei Eckardt from his work with Count's Jam Band (you need this if you don't have it) and have been looking for something else that he's done. This is really good fusion with hints to the fusion greats from the 70's but certainly not a throwback group. This is fresh new music for the people and if you're a fan of electric jazz, world music, jazz-rock or just good music in general, this album is for you.
