Book Description

Visual Quickpro Guide April 15, 2003
Microsoft Word is used by millions worldwide who depend on it to create all kinds of complex documents (such as professional reports, dissertations, screenplays, and full-length books) that require a wide range of special features and tricky formatting. Word 2001/X Advanced for Macintosh: Visual QuickPro Guide follows the same step-by-step visual approach of the Visual QuickStart series, but targets a more advanced audience. Assuming a working knowledge of Word, this book takes readers beyond the basics, exploring such practical uses of the program as creating and working with templates and fill-in forms; designing documents with multiple columns and frames; using captions, bookmarks, and cross-references; building a table of contents; managing long documents with WordUs Master Document feature; automating tasks with macros; and customizing Word. Chapter review case studies, which utilize files found on the book' companion Web site, give readers a chance to practice new skills.
