Not only is Ludacris different, original, not like everybody else in the business, he's got quite a sense of humor. You will get to experience all that as well as his fast, hurricane-speed rhymes on this CD.

After listening to "Area Codes," which, of course, has been played over and over in a sanitized version on the radio and television, you will undoubtedly want to check your horoscope. But don't get overly excited, control your horomones, as Luda advises. "Saturday" is very original, nothing like I have ever heard before. "Rollout" is funny and so relevant. No matter who you are, no matter your skin color, education, profession, etc., if you have lived on this earth for more than just a few years, you have undoubtedly had experience with obnoxious people, sticking their nose into your business. Luda tells these people like it is. And he does so in a way that is creative and funny. Ludacris seems great. If you do not own "Word of Mouf" yet, what exactly is your excuse?

Although I was feelin' "What's Your Fantasy" when I first heard the song, I was still a little reluctant to purchase "Back For The First Time". Then one day my roomate came home and said, "I got the Luda". After hearing the CD's opening track, "U Got A Problem?", I knew that Ludacris was working with something. I liked the whole CD and my favorite tracks were "Catch Up", "Southern Hospitality", "Phat Rabbit", "Game Got Switched", and my personal favorite w/UGK, "Stick 'Em Up". I knew that Luda would only get better with time. Now with his new release "Word Of Mouf", Luda definitely proves that there will be no sophomore jinx for him. Inbetween CDs, Luda was featured on Funkmaster Flex's Volume 4 mixtape with "Block Lockdown", Three 6 Mafia's "Choices" soundtrack with Dis B****, Dat H*", Missy Elliott's "One Minute Man", 112's "Peaches And Cream" (Remix), and on Jagged Edge's "Cut Somethin'". Everything that Luda has been on has been hot. He also had the lead single to the Rush Hour 2 soundtrack, "Area Codes" w/Nate Dogg. "Word Of Mouf" might as well be "Back For The First Time" Part 2. However, in Luda's case, this is not bad. Ludacris is definitely the Redman of the South. If you listen to Redman's "Malpractice" CD, you will be able to tell how they have tight songs and a few tight skits to mix in with the songs. Both men are able to mix humor in with well defined rap skills. "Word Of Mouf" gets off to a good start with one of the CD's best tracks: "Coming To America". This song is hilarious and even mentions Zamunda but at the same time the skills are there and he is able to keep your attention. The next track is the first single, "Rollout (My Business)". The track is produced by Timbaland and was an excellent choice to be the first single from the CD. "Word Of Mouf" follows the same formula as his first CD because you get the rhymes from Luda and Tha Disturbing The Peace clic, some hilarious skits and you get a few guest appearances as well. Ludacris shows that he definitely will be a force to be reckoned with in rap music. The remainder of the best moments on this CD include the Swizz Beatz produced, "Cry Babies (Oh No)", "Cold Outside" w/Chimere, "Growing Pains", "Word Of Mouf (Freestyle)", "Freaky Thangs" w/Twista & Jagged Edge and the song that should be the next single, the Organized Noize produced "Saturday (Ooh! Ooh!)" w/Sleepy Brown. Ludacris has impressed me with his new offering. His fans will be satisfied with "Word Of Mouf". This CD is a must buy in my opinion. As a bonus, you also get "Block Lockdown" and the track that Luda was featured on that is on Jermaine Dupri's "Instructions" CD, "Welcome To Atlanta".

Ludacris rules on "Word Of Mouf" and here are a lot of details about it so you'll know:

1. Coming 2 America - i love this track, the first time i turned on the cd, the opening line made me laugh so hard that i could barely listen and pay attention to the rest of the song. Later, i found it was a great track anyway.

2. Rollout (My Business) - great song, loved it on the radio and love it on the album too. Kind of better than "Southern Hospitality", but i won't hold my word on that.

3. Go 2 Sleep - not one of the best points on the album, but Ludacris made such a good story out of it that i love this track a lot.

4. Cry Babies (Oh No) - i can't deny it, this is a great song and it may be one of my favorites ever. The chorus "oh no", makes me love it even more.

5. She Said - awesome, creative lyrics, hot beat, everything needed for a sure-fire hit song. NOTE: I love the way on the third verse, that Cris says the word "butt".

6. Howhere (Skit) - so funny that i laughed my head off. Takes place as a phone conversation between Ludacris and another fellow black star. They use the word "ho", to substitute for words like "Ohio" ( Ohiho ), "Chicago" ( Chicagho ), and other words used everyday.

7. Area Codes - uses the same method from the previous skit to replace "ho" for everyday words. Love the track and i loved the movie "Rush Hour 2", which is a great soundtrack and movie you should definitely look into if you haven't already.

8. Growing Pains - one hot joint with great lyrics and a beat so catchy i loved it.

9. Greatest Hits (Skit) - love how "random white people", do ludacris's greatest hits.

10. Move B***h - oh my god i laughed and sang along all night to this one.

11. Stop Lying (Skit) - funny as hell and creative .

12. Saturday (Ooh Ooh) - great track.

13. Keep It On The Hush - don't like this one too much.

14. Word Of Mouf (Freestyle) - good beat, but weak song.

15. Get The F**k Back - nah. not a good track.

16. Freaky Things (Skit) - um, i guess i could say it's good cause it's funny, so i will.

17. Cold Outside - ludacris really went weak on the last parts of this album.

Bonus Track: Block Lockdown - not to good.

Bonus Track: Welcome 2 Atlanta ( featuring Jermaine Dupri ) - i so love this song on the radio and on the cd.

Hope I gave you some good stuff.

1. Coming 2 America: One of the best openings to an album you'll find. Song has great similes like: coming up shorter than 5 dannny devitos
2. Rollout: Excellent song, tight beat, but if Luda hadn't said "Rollout" for one full minute at the beginning this would be the best song on the album.
3. Go 2 Sleep: I don't like the hook so much, but the verses have some clever lyrics
4. Cry Babies: This song is awesome. In this song 'Cris shows off his rhyming abilities and they blend in with the beat well.
5. She said: Not a good song
6. Howhere (Skit):Very funny!
7. Area Codes: Very clever lyrics by Ludacris
8. Growing Pains: This is a very emotional song, and Fate has a future ahead of him.
9. Greatist Hits (Skit): One of the most hilarious skits EVER!
10. Move B****: I sing it in my head all day at school. Great song!
11. Stop Lying (Skit): Another hilarious skit
12. Saturday (Oooh Oooh): Probably the best song on the album; BUT it's only a good song if you hear all the explicit content, not the radio version, but a tight song indeed
13. Keep it on the Hush: An EXTREMELY clever song and very funny too
14. Freestyle: It's ok. Some good rhymes, some O.K. ones
15. Get the **** Back: Nice hook, weak verses
16. Freaky Thangs: Excellent song, Twista and Jagged Edge really helped
17. Cold Outside: The hook is ludicrously long, but the verses are good. the song is a little too long
18. Block Lockdown: Nice accompony. Good verses
Welcome to Atlanta (Bonus Track): Great song! If Luda got the second verse instead of JD it'd be better. No offense, but JD can't rap.
Great album Ludacris! Can't wait to get #3!

i think this cd holds up tohis last, but it definitly takes a while to sink in. when i first played it i hated nearly every song, but now they're all growing on me.

1-Coming 2 America-This is one of the best on the album, and the movie is great to so that doesn't hurt.
2-Rollout-Sounds like Phat Rabbit a little to be but Timberland produced both so i guess that makes sense.
3-Go 2 Sleep-Great song, but the chorus gets on my nerves a little.
4-Cry Babies-Another great song, very tounge and cheek, but the chorus is lacking again.
5-She Said-Not the best on the album.
6-Howhere-Skit, not bad.
7-Area Codes-I don't know why everyone thinks it a crime that this is on here, great song.
8-Growing Pains-Probably the best on the album, Fate Wilson is featured a lot.
9-Greatest Hits-Funniest skit from Ludacris yet.
10-Move B!tch-OK. Mystical is kinda slow for him though.
11-Stop Lying-Skit, boring.
12-Saturday-I really like this one, very creative.
13-Keep it on the Hush-A little to slow for my taste.
14-Word of Mouf-Free Style, OK.
15-Get the F*** Back-One of the best.
16-Freaky Thangs-One of my favorites, even though i hate JE.
17-Cold Outside-really good, long chorus too.
18-Block Lockdown-Nice song, ends with Welcom to Atlanta. It's such a shame how JD rapes his own beats by attempting to rap on them.

This is a great cd.... If you like hearing about Hoes and someone brag about himself for 74 minutes. I liked some of the songs ( i gave it 2 stars for roll out, growing pains, and saturday) But You can only take so much of hearing the same stuff over and over: Hoes, money, and ice. Go pick up the great depression by dmx or stillmatic by nas.

Ludacris has talent if you listen carefully to his lyrics you will see that. I definatly recommend this cd to anyone who likes rap Ludacris has a great voice and will make you laugh.This cd is a big improvement from his first album. heres how i rate the songs:

After listening to this cd Ludacris is my fave artist so buy it and you will like it!

I liked this cd, but since its edited, it doesnt have skits, and it sorta sucks cuz u cant hear any of the words. But, it has some awesome songs on it, like Welcome to Atlanta, which is part of the 15th track and "Growing Pains" with Lil Faith. All of the songs are pretty good and ludas fun to listen to. "Move B*tch" was sorta dissapointing cuz the whole spirit of the song was wrecked. I liked the edited sounds on some songs better with sound effects, instead of beeps or blanks. I dont like the deep voiced guy, but he usually picks good rappers to be featured in his songs. Ludacris is sometimes funny too. If you arent like 6 years old then i reccomend getting the PA version. I reccomend all of the other CDs, but I dont have "Back for the First Time", but i heard it was good. "The Red Light District" was ok but it wasnt as good as the other ones. I think that the earlier CDs are better than the later ones, maybe luda is losing his skills or something.

I definetely didn't think this cd was going to be good...boy was I surprised. You can listen to this beginning to end with no problem. This cd is dope...period.

I do not really like Southern rap, but I have to admit, Luda's style is hot. He drops very complex punches and metaphors. His similies are exellent and his flow is just smooth. Unlike many MC's today, Ludacris created his own style. He is definatly very talented. Luda makes you laugh with his cartoon-ish rap. His lyrics are very entertaining indeed. I love this CD. It has been in my collection for over a year now, and I still bump it in my ride or at home sometimes. The production on this album is very nice. The beats are not pop but they are very catchy. I can still here the melodie from "Saturday" echoing in my head. The first track, "Coming 2 America" starts off with a qoute from the movie "Coming To America" (With Eddie Murphy). Then the hardcore, southern beat comes on. Luda drops verses that are fire on this one. Definatly a very nice track. Then is the hit single everyone knows of, "Roll Out". This has MAD flow and hot lyrics. The beat is so catchy, the whole song is just banging! After that is "Go 2 Sleep" which is a hot song. It is the type of song to put on when your wrestling or fighting with your friends in the back yard, or on the block. Then it's "Cry Babies". This track is hard to forget. Makes me go up to my homie and start beating the living sh*t out of him. "She Said" is one of the funniest tracks I've heard!!! Very funny and Luda is laying hot verses here. After that is "Howhere" which is the funniest skit I've ever heard. It's so funny, I was crying from laughing so much. Then is the theme from Rush Hour, "Area Codes" featuring Nate Dogg. This is very hot, I bump this one alot. "Growing Pain" is my favorite track on this album. It's very honest and is tight. This is better than the remix that appeared on "Golden Grain" (by Disturbing Tha Peace). Ludacris spits fire here. Another skit to knock you off your chair is "Greatest Hits". This is so funny! It's too halerious to explain. After that is "Move Bi*ch" featuring Mystikal. It's the hottest song to play in the car on high volume when your in a traffic jam and reall ticked. Then it's "Stop Lying" which is another skit to laugh to. He has the best skits ever. Then its the ever-so-catchy "Saturday". It's a nice track, but I don't really dig his flow here. Though the beat is nice to freestyle on, or just use for your own record. After that is "Keep It On The Hush". This one is very low-tempo, and mellowed down. It's style nice and Luda is nice on here. It's funny and has crazy flow. "Word Of Mouf (Freestyle)", is hot as hell!! Luda spits some of the best lyrics I've ever heard from here. Luda is definatly hot in freestyling. "Get The F**k Back" has a really hot beat, but I don't dig the I-40's verse. "Freaky Thangs" featuring Jagged Edge is a nice club joint for the ladies. Luda's verses is are on fire!!! The last track, "Cold Outside" is the only joint I can live without. Overall this record is essiential in your Hip Hop collection. The Bonus song, "Block Lockdown" is one of the best tracks on this album. I gave this album 4.5/5. There are acouple of songs I could skip over but this is definatly a hot, hot record.
