I am the proud owner of this and Oxford's J Picture Dictionary and while both have colorful illustrations and easy-to-read typeface, I prefer looking through this because it's more "fun." This is a dictionary for native Japanese to learn English so there are no furigana over the kanji. But I do think it could help 2nd year and up Nihongo students.
