This review is from: Word by Word Picture Dictionary English/Portuguese Edition (Paperback)
This book is in College Level and it is very vital to those who still needs a push in the naming things. It is very helpful, the numbers are everywhere: the mall, the car(inside and out) , the school and even your home. This numbers will make easy for you to see how the things are named in English. So those who speak anyother language will not have trouble learning english. Enjoy! A must buy! No regrets!

Helpful to learn Portuguese, but more helpful for Portuguese speakers, November 14, 2008
This review is from: Word by Word Picture Dictionary English/Portuguese Edition (Paperback)
I bought this book to learn more portuguese. That it certainly
will help you with! The book is filled with pictures that are
'labelled' to teach you the names of various items and places and
things in everyday life. For example you get a scene of 'the body'
all labelled up with hair, teeth, head etc. There are no 'lessons'
like most other books -- it is a picture dictionary.
My only complaint is that, as an English speaker going Portuguese,
in some parts of the book it is assumed you ar Portuguese learning
English -- so some word are just plain left out (like telling time).
The book could very easily have been aimed at both sides of the learning
experience with just a tiny bit more effort.
This is not to say it is incomplete, as some 98% of everything translates
back and forth. Just a minor criticism.
