How does this work?
Clicking the “Test drive now” button launches a copy of this app on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), a web service that provides on-demand compute capacity in the cloud for developers. When you interact with the simulated phone using your mouse and keyboard, we send those inputs over the Internet to the app running on Amazon EC2 — just like your mobile device would send a finger tap to the app. Our servers then send the video and audio output from the app back to your computer. All this happens in real time, allowing you to explore the features of the app as if it were running on your mobile device.

This is a great word game, my eleven year old son and I really enjoy playing it. I think making the connections helps build vocabulary skills. we like discussing the possible connections that you find in the upper levels.

Game Play:
The game starts by asking you to please check out the instructions. The goal is to drag and stack associated blocks of words that may be linked by meaning or typical use. The words can be synonyms, antonyms, parts of compound words or words that just have to be related through common use. Try not to get stuck with leftover blocks. The key is to link the next block to the one you just placed and remember that the theme of the link may have just changed. The stack does not have to all be of the same theme but only the words that touch.

You can select what type of stack pack grouping you want to play:
* General
* Ordinary
* Familiar
* Regular
* Common
* Usual
* Average

Each stack pack has 40 levels. You can actually arrange the words and get them to stack and then find that the app will not allow you to stack all of the blocks as it believes that while the ones you used are connected, they are not in the proper order. Since many times the links between the words is so weak I find this aspect of the game hard to agree with.

Main Screen:
* News - takes you to a link to download a free game
* Cube - takes you to Amazon to buy more games
* Play
* Question mark
* Settings gear asks you to rate the game, control sounds, reset the game, control the music and signup for the MochiBits newsletter.

What I like:
This is a nice word association game a fun to play. Some of the word associations are weak links but you can figure them out easy enough. It is challenging and interesting to play and can burn up time before you know it.

What I don't like:
Network links to their news, Amazon, rate the game and signup for their newsletter.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun game but... November 18, 2012

This is a fun idea for a game. It's addictive and gets the brain thinking, however it wouldn't let me stack the word: 'blue' onto the word 'jay'. I'm not really sure why it wouldn't stack, since bluejays exist; this makes me question other combos in the game. Since I just got this game, will keep playing, because it is an enjoyable time killer, but will delete if I find that it's a common occurrence.
UPDATE: I'm deleting this app today for the reason described above.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun but ads November 18, 2012

This game is fun and good for the commute. I gave it 3 stars as there are annoying ads for more of their products as well as there is no way to Decline the ads.

2.0 out of 5 stars no point November 18, 2012

There's no real point to the game..either I'm super smart -I'm not-or there's no losing. They only let you put words that work, so you could go through literally every option to winlevels.. Basically, thereisn't challenge to the game.

1.0 out of 5 stars Way to hard, no difficulty levels. November 18, 2012

With a four and a half star review I thought I would try it. I must admit I don't normally play word games, but some can be fun. This one, unlike most games, doesn't start easy and slowly get harder. Instead you have access to all the packs, and you just pick where you want to start. I wish it showed a difficulty level for each one. Maybe higher numbered levels are harder, I don't know. I played several levels, and was able to complete them by randomly dropping words down. But after I completed them I couldn't figure out the relationship between some words. On my SAT I scored well on vocabulary, but on this test I guess I fail. What does eye and sacrifice have to do with each other?

3.0 out of 5 stars Annoying music December 7, 2012

This game would be a lot more enjoyable, if turning off the music actually turned off the music. Otherwise, it is okay.
