Lies, lies, lies,
By Gareth (Betws-y-coed) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Word: Welsh Witchcraft, The Grail of Immortality And The Sacred Keys (Paperback)
I am Welsh - Cymro glan wyr o Ynys Mon, parhaf yn Saesneg. The other reviews on this page have been written by the author of these books. None of them are Welsh and his views and cult are entirely rejected by all Welsh people. In fact this group has no members at all in Wales and does not represent and genuine tradition at all. The author, whose real name is Bill Wheeler, has never visited Wales in his life and the character Taliesin Einon Vawr is simply a figment of his imagination. His writings are such a drag - they do nothing but say how wonderful he is. Don't buy this book if you want to learn anything about Wales. The only thing you will learn here is that the author wants your money. If you are really interested in Wales join rhuddlwm@yahoogroups.com

???,
By robert beekes (Ystrad Mynach) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Word: Welsh Witchcraft, The Grail of Immortality And The Sacred Keys (Paperback)
The author is an American who has hardly visited Wales in his life. His knowledge of Wales is abysmal. He has a handful of books concerning our country. The rest he makes up. If you ever get to reading the book this will be obvious to you.

GAliza ceibe!!!,
By manolo (Llanrhystud) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Word: Welsh Witchcraft, The Grail of Immortality And The Sacred Keys (Paperback)
What a pity this author could not have stuck to witchcraft. He never expected the Welsh to read his book and expose all the deliberate lies. He is now so deeply involved that he cannot retract these lies without destroying the orgqnisation he created. The Welsh are angry with his abuse of there country qand reject him to a man.

This review is from: The Word: Welsh Witchcraft, The Grail of Immortality And The Sacred Keys (Paperback)
This book is about a system of Welsh Witchraft. There is a great deal of Welsh material in this book as well as other traditions and philosophies. It contains a history of Wicca as well as a history of magickal groups in the UK. The book also contains a sample book of shadows for someone wishing to begin a study of Witchcraft, but doesn't quite know where to start. But, it is also controversial. It contains a great deal of material that is similar to NROOGD teachings which originated in California. I have spoken to a few of their members who are angry that they could not prevent the re-printing of this book. One of the authors of this book, Taliesin enion Vawr was initiated into the New Reformed Order of the Golden Dawn as well as into Gardnerian and Alexandrian traditions. he was contemporary with and claimed to know Robert Cochrane, who worked with Doreen Valiente. The authors use a great technique of presenting generic terms and ideas which masks the real philosophy of the Welsh Tradition, but teaches you enough so that when you actually enter into training as a seeker of the Welsh tradition, it will be very easy to pick up the wonderful religious ideas and philosophy that they teach. The Sabbat rituals contain a few modern verses written by modern poets which I am grateful for. After all isn't a tradition supposed to grow and change? I copied The Laws of Witchcraft into my Book of Shadows in 1962. In Betws y coed Wales. I believe Gerald Gardner also had a copy from Old Dorothy. In fact The Laws are currently a part of several traditions. They certainly are not Gardnerian. All in all I would say that this book would give you a tremendous education into the history and philosophy of the Welsh Tradition as it is currently being practiced in Wales. I visited one of the two groups in Cardiff Wales that practice Dynion Mwyn last month and I assure you, they are practicing The Ancient craft as described in this book, PLUS much much more. If you are looking for a Welsh tradition, you have found it. Linda Prior

furore,
By llinos (Machynlleth) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Word: Welsh Witchcraft, The Grail of Immortality And The Sacred Keys (Paperback)
I spent a few hours reading through this book. My interest was raised after the furore in Wales. I have to say that the claims concerning Wales are pure and simply ludicrous. This is so obviously a creation of one person's imagination. What is remarkable is that there are still people who believe that this man actually had these experiences in Betws-y-coed. I am simply staggered that this man has the face to make so many claims - did he not think that people from Wales would read the book???I really do think that he should have kept to a subject he was informed about. I'm 28 and work in a Welsh Language bookshop in Wales.

rubbish,
By owain (Y Bala) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Word: Welsh Witchcraft, The Grail of Immortality And The Sacred Keys (Paperback)
that's it - rubbishhe's obviously read a lot about witchcraft etc. but he doesn't know a thing about Wales. He made it all up - some of the reviews who claim to be Welsh can't even get the name Llywelyn right. EVeryone in Wales knows how to spell it. It's just the author writing reviews of his own book - look at it it's all the same style. I read all the words for there implements - in Welsh - I heave never seen so many misspellings. I belong to a group called rhuddlwm@yahoogroups.com and they are easily and successfully exposing the hundreds of lies in these books. sorry - but rubbish

cymerwch ofal,
By John Lewis (Llanrwst) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Word: Welsh Witchcraft, The Grail of Immortality And The Sacred Keys (Paperback)
Totally ridiculous - the author is a good writer and no doubt a few gullible and sad people will fall into his clutches. He knows perfectly well that the book is a fabrication. The initial claim was that a man called Taliesin Einon Vawr (an antiquated Welsh name not used at all by real Welsh people) was the one who transmitted the material to him. By the time he wrote this book it has changed to himself. He claims to have lived in a monoglot Welsh society for 8 months and yet he cannot even spell simple Welsh words. Not a single person from north Wales would be believe these lies - the only person who would write a positive review is someone who has never visited Wales. The author, Bill Wheeler, has even privatedly admitted that he made up most of the stories. As you can see I am a native Welsh speaker and simply want to save the vulnerable from believeing this book.Cymro glan o bentref bach nepell o'r fangre hon. Cofiwch mai twyllwr a dim arall yw'r awdur. Ymwelodd unwaith a Betws a hynny flynyddoedd wedi'r cyfnod honedig. Creodd grefydd a bellach y mae llaweroedd o bobol wedi canfod ei gelwyddau ag yn dod a hwy i sylw'r cyhoedd.

difficult to believe,
By hywel (Abertawe) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Word: Welsh Witchcraft, The Grail of Immortality And The Sacred Keys (Paperback)
Are you looking for a new way, a different and original way of looking at life?? Has the Celtic world of mysteries and tales, heros and heroine always fascinated you?? Are you of Welsh or Celtic ancestry?? If so don't buy this book. If you really want something good go to a good bookstore. Don't buy this it is absolute rubbish. Bill Wheeler made it all up - but you only need to look at what he wrote about it to see:This is the last book in The Quest Trilogy. This is the most comprehensive book ever published on the practices of Celtic and Welsh Witchcraft. Includes complete instruction and information on Celtic Ritual, including: "The Unicorn Part II", the complete Celtic Book-of-Shadows (Witches Spellbook) for the Celtic tradition of Witchcraft as practiced in England and the U.S.; Rituals of the Seasonal Festivals; Magical Spells, The True Universal Laws, Initiation Rites and Sexual Rituals. The Word, for the first time discloses the relationship between the sacred magickal knowledge of the Welsh Druids, Knights Templars, the Odre de Seon, and Prince Llewellyn, the last real Prince of Wales; It explains how the religion of the American Indians was affected by the Celtic invasions; Reveals the where-about's of Prince Madocs tomb in the U.S.; Tells of: The Secret of the Grail, The Tribe of Masters, The Elder Gods, The Sacred Fourteen Keys and new and important Prophecies of the Coming age. The Word reveals many Techniques of Natural Magick, Meditation, Psychic Development, Astral Projection, Locating your Soul Mate, and much more! This book is a must if you are practicing a Celtic Tradition! A few points which Bill overlooked when writing this book is that Celts don't have unicorns. Celts don't live in England - they live in Celtic countries. Have a think why initiation and sexual rites are linked above. Why cannot this expert even spell the name of Llywelyn correctly?? Take care - many people have had bad experiences with this cult. Contact rhuddlwm@yahoogroups.com if you need help in breaking free.
