My boys love WordWorld and what's great is that they are secretly learning their letters and to spell words! This DVD is full of four episodes, the first one featuring a WordWorld train! The other three episodes deal with hiccups, sneezing, and eating soup when your sick. Those three episodes are perfect for right now because we have all been sick with something and my boys understood them! The episodes are short, with the entire DVD only lasting an hour. It is a great DVD for anytime and anywhere!

Mom and More Disclosure: I was sent this dvd to review in exchange for my honest opinion.

My son is 22 months and LOVES Word World. He is learning his alphabet and these videos go a long way to help him grasp his letters. Plus he can really follow the stories and loves all the animals. Pig and dog are his favorites. And I like seeing how the words come together to build a word. Can't say enough good things. Train Escapade offers four great episodes with wonderful lessons - this sets the bar for educational programming.

My 4 yr old twins LOVE Word World. Since watching Word World, my sons have developed a real interest in learning letters, their sounds and how they form words. The episodes are short and focus on a particular letter, sound or word family with enough repetition to learn the skill, but not be bored. The songs are fun and reinforce the episodes lesson. This show is awesome!!

My grandson loves trains. He is a little young to understand that the characters have words to makeup their bodies, but he will learn this later. This is a great ideal to help kids learn to spell and the moral of the story.

This was on pbs a few years ago. Don't know why they dropped it but I thought it was very good for little ones to show them how words were spelled and sounded . New condition, great price and my girls love it.

See my reviews of the other Word World DVDs. The same applies here. This one is more interesting for my 4 yr old who is still in love with trains but my 7 yr old also enjoyed it. Great way for kids to literally SEE how letter sounds go together to form words (4 yr old) and can help kids with spelling skills (7 yr old).

My 3 year old often requests this show, and it's one that has good educational value, unlike some of the things that are on tv for that age group. He's actually learned quite a bit about letters and letter sounds and I think this has helped. And the characters are cute, colorful, non-scary, and non-annoying to adults. What else can you ask for? Except maybe to get the song about "you can never have too many oos" out of your head. :)
