First, users of the Professional version of this release, which contains Paradox 10, should be aware that this volume covers only the components of the Standard version of the software, i.e., you won't learn anything about Paradox 10 except that you can use a Paradox format to set up your database in WordPerfect.

Except for that omission, which will hopefully be remedied by another book, this volume provides detailed, easily found information on this new release. The index makes it simple to find an answer to what you're stuck on at the moment and the instructions for individual tasks are well presented both verbally and graphically. The page layouts, fonts and other formatting make for easy reading.

Explanations are presented in a manner which can easily be followed by novices, without being offensive to longtime users of this software, no mean feat. As a matter of fact, material such as definitions of computer terminology are done so well that this could be a good basic text for any computer user.

I nearly waited for a greater selection of material on this software release. I'm glad I didn't--this will do just fine!

I found the book to be exactly what I was looking for, but would have appreciated it if the seller had put some kind of protection around the book when shipping. It banged around in the box quite a bit and the corners were pretty damaged when it arrived.
